THG finds itself with an Active Investor and one that drives change and realisation of the value of all the parts of the company.

Aviva had one that drove a significant return to shareholders, GSK found itself with one that tried to get the CEO to reapply for their job, Vodafone attracted Cevian also. Many many others, in the large cap, mid cap and small cap markets.

That or the next capital event.

But if the aim is to dump borrowed shares into the market to collapse the price through "falsification" / manipulation to then buy them back cheaper and profit then it becomes a self defeating act if the selling stops. Then they end up in competition with PI's and II's bottom fishing and other hedge funds closing positions themselves. Some entities have made vast profits here through such repeated falsification and then the price rises back up again.

MCAP less than cash and equivalents tells you you can have the full of THG for free.

Both prize assets of Nutrition and Beauty very profitable in their own rights and subsidising Ingenuity expansion.

Gift at these levels imo.

Interesting take off the Times but laced with blatant inconsistencies from line 1.

Its not Beauty that is considering selling loss making businesses but On Demand.

2000 staff weren't laid off either. It was down to "attrition" and people moving on and not being replaced.

Sales bubble didn't burst either as it reported record sales.

Could go on and on but the Times seems to have lost its way in factual reporting.

Talking of which Hosai I popped into town in the latter part of this afternoon and managed to visit my local Iceland and picked up a MyProtein Tikka Masala and Katsui, both with rice. The gym buff in my family was impressed. Seperate freezer all devoted to the MyProtein meals and was about half full.

Not making any excuses but maybe too early to have received any meaningful feedback from Iceland. Only been in Iceland for 2 weeks.

Totally manipulated today but use it to your advantage. Market makers dropped this on 1/2 point and 3/4 point spreads to welcome a shorter. Probably about 10 points of todays fall is covered with the spread.

No way todays RNS and cash on the balance sheet is deserving of a 21% fall and I've been adding in stages with increasing amounts.

There isn't really a comparison in the business sense with Asos except online selling but if you care to compare the recent Asos RNS with THG's, the THG RNS knocks the spots off it. Yet Asos has risen 20% to 30% after its update. I've also highlighted in the past where Asos Directors have bought relatively small amounts of shares yet the the share price surges. Matt Moulding and Lord Allen have bought £ multiples by comparison. Millions of pounds worth. Yet in the past THG makes a brief 10% spurt and then is taken lower.

Your sentiments Kweali are not wrong and as stated earlier somebody here is making a lot of money out of the constant manipulation and the churning the same shares as there are hardly any of the main II's selling any at all.

Too much money getting made here by a certain few out of collapsing the share price and then raising the share price again and by churning over and over again the same shares.

Just a humble guess that it will rise substantially again.

Thankfully they succeeded in achieving record sales.

Otherwise the share price might have risen.

Nice volume grab by the MM's today that gained a tailwind.

I wonder though the real figures for how many have actually been bought on the drop today?

Most of todays falls have been at 1/2 and 3/4 points down at a time, so Market makers imo.

With All the contents of todays RNS it should be pointing to at worst a Hold.

I see it more positively than that so added and happy to keep doing so on a monthly basis into what are the closing gaps of the removal of the Golden share, Breakeven and 2024 profitability.

All things considered THG seems to have navigated all many headwinds pretty well and come out the other side and with good forward looking statements. (Cost of living crisis, Ukraine / Russia conflict, strikes, previous Trussonomics currency headwinds, China lockdowns)

Sp is at 50p under where it was when 3 bids last appeared
and it is less than 1/3rd of the 170p which we know was one of those bids.
