It's a story centred on the credit insurance OF THE SUPPLIERS of THG. NOT THG itself.

Yet it decides not to name even one of those suppliers.
Instead using THG as the focal point of its article.

Already down effectively 50 points since announcement the CEO was leaving with an immediate replacement selected and transitioning in place. I also follow ITM who did similar and have held most of their value.

If there is a Trading update coming about Mid January I personally can't see anything coming in between. Still in festive trading yet with next day delivery off THG but Boxing day onwards provides leg 2 of the festive season retail calender with Boxing Day and the January sales.

Markets seem to want to Britify this stock when in actual fact for instance with THG Beauty they actually supply in 195 different territories.

That there was a half point rise in interest rates last week and I have not seen many of the Banks and Building Societies having passed that on to savers. Variable rates for borrowers though will have been instantly adjusted upwards.

I have it that most Banks and Building Societies banked 1/4 of a percent off the last 3/4 point rise as they only passed on 0.5% on average.

Should make for some interesting next updates off the banks.

Most companies in retail issue a trading update about mid to end of January. In that way the results include the Boxing Day and January sales figures which can also add a lot to pre-Xmas trading.
