Indeed aspers. Same recovering business in line with the fully recovering airline, cruise and holiday industry and as per last statements.

Exact same business. RI has just provided the market makers through the spread to hunt for shares. Now about 25% under TERP and although some might still make a little profit off their RI shares they are now down considerably on the combined TERP price. Doesn't merit selling now and if anything it gets more appealing by the day for a top up.

Just taken a 1st one after it hitting trigger price number 1. New ISA year presents good tax free opportunities for top ups 2 to 4.

Whilst all the conversation presently seems to focus on the Rights Issue, TERP and discount to the TERP its always handy just to keep an eye on the wider sector.

Only so much short feeding you can do into the market when there is pro buyer sat there sweeping them up. It means each time they do so then they are instantly at a loss which is contrary to the objective.

Same pro buyer is carefully taking any others that also become available without driving the price up significantly.

Kelso should have another £3M soon courtesy of a placing to invest here or elsewhere. Wherever it is they seem to want monies raised before the end of April. They will also have been monitoring Franck Tuil and Sparta Capital Management reputed interest.

Oil price goes up then higher probability of oil related oil services work. More profits for oil producing companies and countries to spend.

HGW the fall in the cost of hiring a container to ship goods around the world by sea has nothing to do with what you suggest. It might marginally increase the price we people pay at the pumps but the price of oil is more to do with speculation and futures contracts and heading into Spring and Summer my own opinion is that it will be shortlived and the trend is downwards with inflation.

Kelso seem to think that both tailwinds of reduced whey prices and transportation costs provide potential scope for share buy backs. Hard to argue otherwise given how much the price of renting a shipping container has dropped on the Drewry Index.

Might explain why the button has recently been pushed on a visible MyProtein expansion into Germany, Spain, Portugal and Denmark and the Middle East in supermarkets and gyms.

Perhaps one of the most informed authorities to help understand this is the Drewry World Container Index.

Here's is what KLSO stated in their recent 4 point Action Plan for improving shareholder value, tagged on to justifying Share Buybacks.

" Tailwinds from recent whey and transportation cost reductions will further improve cash generation."

Dramatic drops in the cost of whey have been highlighted on here several months back by several astute posters and well prior to Kelso's mention. Not so much mentioned though on Transportation costs.

What is readily visible to you and I is the price we pay for petrol and diesel at the pumps and this has tracked the fall of the price of a barrel of oil. E.g from $123 per barrel of Brent Crude in May last year to where it is now at just under $80 per barrel on Friday (having been under $75 recently) That's the lowest in a while and welcome for you, me all manner of businesses who ship product in bulk.

The second part is transporting goods overseas by air or sea and specifically through container costs. Air costs about 4 times as much as by sea so most is by sea. Container costs got exorbitant during the pandemic however since economies have reopened again there has been noticeable reductions in the costs of shipping containers, particularly in the last year.

This is where the Drewry Container Index comes in for it tracks the historical and current pricing of shipping containers.
Given that THG service195 countries from 9 production facilities and 18 Warehousing and Fulfilment Centres dotted throughout the UK, Europe and America then this is also part of what Kelso are referring to.

The 1st 2 graphs on this link give you a general flavour of how the reduction in costs of sending a container on a ship might now be classed as a Tailwind.

It certainly must be getting close to major review time for those operating short or selling algos.

The full aim is to borrow shares for a fee to then feed them into the market to lower the price to then buy them back cheaper and return them and to make money / profit in the process. In the past this has worked handsomely for several all the way down to a ridiculous share price of 30p and mainly based on frightening and frustrating Retail PI's and some funds into selling.

But in the last few weeks things have dramatically changed with information and updates flooding out to shareholders like never before, tailwinds (whey price and exhorbitant transport costs) seem to be diminishing and what is definitely 1 and reputedly 2 Active Investors onboard openly highlighting the blatant value gap that has been created between the present share price and market cap and sum of parts. Flaging it up and signosting it to Private Equity.

The evident result now is that whereas in the past there was a lucrative return in rinse repeating retail PI's into selling, and normally supported by certain dubious media stories, there is little if any who are now selling. That is clearly evident on low volumes of selling over the first hour come what may or no such selling even when the algos try to trigger it.

Furthermore when any short algo's do try to influence or manipulate the price atm they have virtually no success for there seems to be buy algo's programmed to pick up any slack and to maintain the price with higher lows. Same appears to be happening in the closing auction.

Then along comes the next update or piece of positive news which drives the price further upwards. Kelso for instance just 2 days ago provided a 4 point list of further catalysts which imo could serve to further substantially improve the share price. Sparta if they identify as being onboard likely another. 4 out of 4 thus far from Sparta investing to a Bid appearing is an formidable track record.

Of late the scenario emerging seems to be that of one or more buyers are being filled by short algos and creating the situation whereby borrowed shares are no longer making money, instead losing it. If the aim of this enterprise was to profit then it is repeatedly not working with losses instead and still ongoing borrowing fees.

Plenty short and mid-term catalysts listed by many listed just this morning and all amidst Matt Mouldings Golden Share timing out which has just reduced by another month today as its now April.

Perfect storm brewing of having the share price increasing and being supported or a Bids appears for the whole or parts of THG.

Roll on April update and providing a great opportunity to cement some of those Kelso catalysts into RNS. Might that be what you would expect from a leader with humility.

Personally I prefer to look at a 6 month perspective here and hopefully some more top ups along the way into the next ISA year.

Just my thoughts.

OhhAhhCantona I hold some KLSO in an ISA and will look to add some come new ISA year and they will remain there for whatever value accretion or capital events they engineer here at THG or elsewhere. I like those involved as they are all well connected and I personally think that they have had more influence than many give them credit for and the masses of communication started just after they hopped onboard as Activist Investors.

Yes they might need a much larger holding to get a place at the Board Table but I hold the view that the mere making public of their thoughts and increased holdings signposts THG and effectively puts a For Sale sign under the whole company or its subsidiaries as available at a significant discount.

Tuil and Sparta Capital management you might find adopt a completely different approach.

Quid pro quo. They want to realise that value and that aligns with what I want from investing, and they stand a better chance of speaking to MM and Board than you or I.

Golden share ticks over and counts down by another month tomorrow.

I watched the last hour and a half's trading today and thought that another sell algo was being lured in with a buyer again snapping them up in the background and being careful not to raise the sp. Amounted to about 1 million shares. Interestingly we then also get a large matched buy and sell of an Uncrossing Trade and then two larger trades pop up at higher prices.

The £3Million Placing Kelso is undertaking is by Invitation of Zeus only.

Would really set the cat amongst the pigeons if Matt Moulding or Lord Allen or both were invited and accepted.

I have to totally disagree with him on this one.

If you wish to be winners and best in class and to base the ethos of your organisation on going that extra mile and base it on Merit then the very people you should be promoting is the most talented person in the team. That same person then becomes the role model for the others that will follow in their footsteps.

To do otherwise is flawed, as you will only cause disenfranchisement and resentment people will leave to seek pastures new where they do get rewarded for being the most talented in the team. Far better to promote those most deserving than promote people who don't have a clue what they are doing and who earn no respect. Seen it all too many times in big organisations.

Maybe slightly at odds with what shareholders wish.

Far better when he posts to enhance everyone's understanding of the business.
