Bwana4 in respect of the money you paid did they leave you thereafter with either the choice of longsightedness or shortsightedness in either eye or did you get the option of having both in either eye. I ask for its my understanding the NHS gives you the option of 1 or the other?

You need to get wise to the fact that some these brokers simply play a game by publishing these notes with a self motivated pecuniary motive behind them and whilst often doing the opposite of what the note says. So they buy when the note says sell or they are selling when it says Buy. One US broker in particular is notorius for doing the opposite of what they say.

better asking yourself why publich a broker note today amidst decent news when you could have real numbers and the fullest of updates on the 18th April.

First signs of stage managing newsflow.

Forgive me for saying this but THG knew when they broke the news yesterday about the closure of On Demand that if there was any customary short induced reaction, as is always the case, that they had better positive news to relift the share price the next day.

It means the short positions and spreadbetters from yesterday ended up in a right quandry this morning and down on their stakes.

Probably down to the new Senior Vice President Investor Relations and the first signs of THG coordinating and managing its newsflow.

Never good to see ths closure of loss making Divisions for the impact it has on the staff. Hopefully all concerned will be re-accomodated elsewhere in the organisation. In business though you can't however knock a focus on profitability.

Surprised that the most the City can come up with thus far is a rogue broker note but as has been pointed out the true value involved in this will ultimately show out.

Pearls THG normally does a conference call and webcast so thats not new. I think what will be new is that they go into this years conference call with a firming share price, an armoury of newsflow like never before and 2 active investors breathing down their necks.

Doesn't take a genius to work out that it doesn't take too many additions like Maximo and + £150 GMV to get to the extra £1Billion GMV they have their sights set on. I am over the moon with this one for it puts high street fragrances in particular through THG Ingenuity at competitive prices and if they stick to £25 for free delivery it will mean you can get most frangrances online for free.

Good post PFCvetran and although there will clearly have to be some big upgrades to be published for PFC numbers moving forward all we have to show for it thus far is a rogue broker note off Jefferies that in all honesty was probably written prior to the award of a substantial share of a €13 BILLION contract. Not millions but billions.

This contract win will undoubtedly elevate them in the other 60 Billion worth of Bids they have ongoing and yes they were already at preferred bidder status in some of them.

That transformational contract, the biggest in PFC's history has completely changed the outlook here, even if the city at this time doesn't wish to give it the credit it rightfully deserves.

Patience and don't knock the opportunity to use up the new tax years ISA allowance on the ones you identify with the best prospects.

Spammy, the last few days has seen the market makers dropping the price through the use of large spreads and either they themselves shorting the stock or encouraging spread betters and shorters to do the same and to take out weak Rights sellers. All the way down to an unbelievable 540p yesterday (54p old price equivalent) The reason might just be cheekiness but they may also have been filling a buy order or loading up themselves.

Anyway it is a welcome relief fr many and well done if you took advantage the last few days.

jcb you are not wrong. Have been watching my other bank interests like LLOY rebound roughly 10% of late whilst MTRO seems to have gone down 20%.

Should correct itself back up come next results update you would think if not before.

So £20k allowances for Mr and Mrs and some nice bargains to spend it on.
