You would hope so Oke. Moulding denied the last ones access to the accounts to let them conduct their own due diligence by using his Golden share last time around. Hopefully segmental analysis gives them sufficient detail.

Personally I don't think Moulding won't be of a mind to let this go cheap.

Just shows that whilst people get preoccuppied with short positions etc, when the Activist Investors start to turn up its not long before the bids start to materialise.

It means Kelso are quids in as well.

Looks like the latest Short side written story hasn't had any impact and those that were minded to sell have sold.

Its now over to MM to deliver tomorrows update and lets see if he makes any concessions to the Active Investors.

He either gets the share price back up substantially or I suspect a bid will arrive here by July. Initial exploratory talks during July stretched into August canvassing a takeout price, bid then submitted with the regulatory 1 month timeframe on the bid and coinciding with the Golden share expiring. Give or take a month or so.

When the Activist Investors start arriving. Private Equity isn't far behind.

It all becomes more highly probable if he gets back into the FTSE 250 imho.

It's a fair offer but Mastercard might come out with a higher offer given Netw skilfully negotiated the pandemic and grew in Africa and the Middle Eastern region I suspect will be highly lucrative.

And it looks like Wood Group - where it is one of Sparat Capital managements 4 successful investments to bids were, according to the Times last night, looking favourably at a 5th Bid from their PE suitors.

Maybe in the past OhhAhhCantona but there has to be some degree of approval and coordination in all this linkedin material from many sources other than Moulding.

Things have dramatically changed for the better since Greg Feehely was recruited as the Senior VP Investor Relations. Over and above what we only see via Linkedin or RNS I am interested in him putting his talents to work on the sell side analysts. That I suspect is why he has been recruited. That plus liaising with the press. Looks like he may be busy tomorrow liaising with the MoS.

You have to be mad to continue with any form of short position on this now as they look in real jeopardy now.

You get used to these type of stories @THG and the timing of them and most now see through them.

Plethora of positive information provided on Linkedin for this first quarter doesn't even seem to get a mention.

More interested in the Q1 Update and whether or not matt Moulding makes concessions to the 2 Active Investors.

That's another headwind that is just about to turn into a tailwind.

I started this thread last week to show that Private Equity were in the buyers market again for cheaply priced UK companies with a story that broke on Bloomberg, since confirmed by the company in RNS that CVC Capital were in talks to buyout Network International (NETW). The RNS said preliminary talks with the usual caveat of may or may not lead to an offer. Share price ended the week at 303p.

Latest Bloomberg article below points to things being more advanced and quoting firmer numbers.

I see also another FTSE 250 company also received an offer last week.

Bloomberg were on the money with the bid in the first place and clearly have informed sources close to events. It's clearly saying things negotiations are at a more advanced stage and citing the 380p and 400p numbers.

Looks like the Board are trying to negotiate the higher number for a "recommended bid"

Either way it looks like a good next few days and weeks and that an offer could be dropping sooner rather than later.

Inflation will be minus 99% by a week in Tuesday.

Tell that to my wife. Came in from the supermarket just the other day saying Calgon for the washing machine has just gone up from £5 to £7 in one go. Same at all supermarkets. Greedflation!!

That aside just had another batch of MP Chicken skewers in tortilla wraps with grated cheese, salad and tzatziki sauce across them. Absolutely delicious and now a one or twice weekly addition to our meal repertoire.

Picked up another batch of them today along with another stash of the ready meals and the Iceland shop assistant told me he had just had the MP chicken pizza prior to work and was raving about it.

The post wasn't aimed at anyone specific and was only posted to congratulate them. Would have been an up and down rollercoaster with lots of margin calls and fees but its now old money equivalent of 55p.

Despite continued recovery airline stocks and the travel industry.
