Hosai although the MM's today might have been helping out short positions they are also helping Apollo put that first bid on the table.

92p is not a "steep premium" to a 66p to 69.5p range in the days prior to the bid.

Nothing in todays price to dissuade them. In fact if anything it encourages Apollo.

You get used to rinse and repeats on here, this time assisting the sell side to close up. Gets done in an effort to quieten down the buy side and to churn shares with over egged falls compared to others. Most of today was done with the spread and market makers.

It could be interpreted either way Manc_39 but the RNS is showing a very large purchases with 94p having been paid and there were definitely 3/4 spreads used with minimal volume to provide downward assistance. Another thumbs up for transparency !! Gives the brokers commission, the MM's the volume and probably a 2 way profit for Citigroup who are day-trading their way here.

I'm sticking with the 2 Active investors onboard here along with BGK's and Sir Tom Hunter's not unsizeable holding. In fact both the latter eclipse what was just manufactured. In fact BGK's declaration and that of Sir Tom Hunter are both each individually greater than all publicly displayed shorts now over 0.5%. Both seemingly dismissed and not worthy of similar rises. Lets see if they gain the last laugh here.

The Citigroup RNS from where you got the data 1pencil is also showing a purchase of 4375,212 shares.

Looks like maybe they created their own luck by shorting down from 97.57p to pick the bulk of their purchases of at circa 94p. Odd ones out being 98.36p

Make no mistakes about it though they were assisted by the market makers and 3/4 spreads used to lower the price.

Nice "steep premium" bid from Apollo and we are out of this pond.

People feeling more confident to invest. RI is out the way. Debt will be substantially reduced and sat at a tremendous discount to the TERP.

Forget waiting for sub £5.00. Doubt it was ever going to happen as there was already a 60% uplift between the present share price and the TERP.

Should never in a million years be this low with the resurgence of the industry.

Somebody has made a lot of money on the way down and I suspect will do the same on the way back up.
