Look at the 3 main oscillators and am seeing a chance of mean reversion here , a little more strength and I'll add as a little Santa Rally could at least bring us back to the 200ma around 283 . Gas is in rude health and given our exposure to it am so surprised we are not soaring . A lot of our revenues are now away from the tax grab in the UK . Oil doing well today too, Regardless of the stocks analysts have all way higher targets than current level ! Maybe lost on some that we are now essentially diversified away from UK and its taxes

You are right am a trader . If you saw my ADvFN post I had sold at 247 ish and mentioned the retrace all the way back and mentioned I would wait for 205-210 to re-enter missing out on the very low as that is not my strategy the low was around 194 ( that retrace had to hold and gave me confidence) ,. whilst I do trade for a living I also do hold some like HOC in physical shares , here from 96 my original entry .

This is getting ready for a rally up to and just beyond Christmas !

Just took a look at the COT indicator (Commitment of Traders) and it is lighting up like a Christmas tree . Big buy signal there by the commercials for GOLD .

Easily hit 67 makes things look interesting . As it took no time to get it there . Tells me the stock is ripe for a bounce up as traders/ investors are very much aware here .

Lets see what tomorrow brings but technically of note we are above the 200ma now too , and did not give that back

Candle currently forming , strongly rejecting the lows of the day looks very encouraging . I reckon this is priming for a good higher high for the year . Lets see if right or wrong . My sense is that the retrace stopping today , stopped right on a retracement I generally look at for a superlative extension . Roll on the next few trading days and the Santa Rally

Just a FYI ( think this has disconnected with NAT GAS prices ) Given our production 60-40 I can't see why HBR is not flying . So a trade I hope to see re-test the 200sma at least then if that gets taken out too we return to a much more bullish view as 300-330 get back on track

Last time nat gas traded this high Harbour reached a range of 300 to 335 , given we are entering winter and already drawing down on storage this spike aided by geo political issues and cold weather is here to stay . so the range should not only be where we should/could be at but also beaten

Looks a touch weird that Nat Gas is flying yet there seems to have been no impact on share price . Not even my a little too Nat Gas is superbly up

Remember we are not just oil but gas too and that is flying

JP Morgan analyst had a 25p target only 16 days . I didn't even see it . It could well be that Enquest does a Harbour style take over of friendly jurisdiction assets . Who knows

The old losses become more valuable for Enquest . Funny that

Its more about momentum than anything ,it has extended a lot and any trader takes profit in these circumstances.

This is not to say I will adjust my target but traders don't see a rally and sit on it . They play the swings. Nothing unusual in my view .

Many are upgrading HOC , good sign with JP Morgan 11 days ago at 280 or 285 if I recall well.

Since then Silver and Gold have been even more bullish . Was surprised to morning to personally be able to add a few more ( my original 96 first trade) Silver was on fire on Friday after UK close

Not to mention that this morning Bloomberg is reporting the hedge funds are piling up against Green Energy and green technology . If the bubble busts one wonders if oil and gas will be reconsidered by some obtuse governments as part of the transition. What governments often forget is that energy demand is increasing. So regardless of source more energy is needed and 'green tech' alone cannot sustain the growth overall should hedge funds make it more expensive by shorting and hence adding to borrowing costs .

Both recovered very since NFP in the US. Not sure how HOC is not performing in line and better given the beta .

Maybe its just lagging

No doubts about the current mob being lunatics more importantly and being narrow minded on this, given we own Veri Energy ( wholly owned subsidiary) and carbon capture is the way the government wants to waste our money is there a silver lining for Enquest in this ? Are we going to make money with our subsidiary ?

I think that at least for the next 2 weeks I don't see such retrace if anything I favour a rally We saw a near high for the year just recently after consolidation period , to me that is not a negative but a good sign the market is gearing up to re-ingnite. As we got close to 200p I expect 220p the next high coming on a new rally, a crash to 160 would be negated if we get another breakout of the 190s . If 160 happens am a strong buyer but don't see Gold or Silver weakness in the next 2 weeks hence why I would favour a retest of the recent highs and see it that breaks.

Weirdest Monday start for a while following a bizarre Friday . Why is HOC so low toady ? On the verge of 200p and then crashed on gold on or close to its highs !

Wrote this yesterday . Timed well ! Good mood today . Surprised this did not happen last week though . Well better late than never lol . Now keep going HOC ; 1 bagger complete
