Colenal - living part time in Lanzarote and living pretty much full time here is certainly an eye opener- being in tune with the neighbours in Rubicon marina, and eating out there as you know was very expensive.

Here is a different kettle of fish, literally.

Everyone helps each other, if we catch too many fish, neighbours benefit, and we seem to get olives, honey, herbs and the occasional goat stew delivered.

Andreas’s, who I am helping renovate a new boat for, his brother owns one of the Tavernas here and cooks the locals all their ‘donations’ which truly makes for a strong community. Which is such a different way of life than previously encountered.

We do miss the grandchildren though !!

There is NO hiding of share deals/trades - only a lack of trades !!

It seems everyone is awaiting the news on deals that have been muted over the past month - I would be especially interested if the talk of a Ch4 deal comes off, that will ensure a good market reaction and see the SP reach a different level. They did say that deals will be expected NOW

All is well in Kefalos also - a day without storms - although they say they are going to turn around and pay another visit - we are all helping the front line Restaurants and tavernas re build some of their establishments - they got a battering in the past couple of weeks.

Colenal - on occasion after doing a bit of research - and only over the past 6 months where I obtained a spare war chest from cashing in the results have been mixed though in terms of strike rates - but having said that my returns are about 250% up overall - and that was with a 150% return from GDR over 3 weeks of trading that share. Sometimes the intention is to hold long term but if the share goes beyond where i originally thought and starts spluttering I will sell quickly and re evaluate the situation. Of course there are stand out blunders - SCGL, QBT, EXR amongst the largest, but all in all my returns last year were outstanding. This year i am concentrating on small pharma's and shipping - all micro caps and all high risk - and keeping existing up and coming product led stocks such as THRU - which will one day multiply IMHO :) !!

We don't spend that much, we keep ourselves busy with projects, boat renovations - re building Tavernas badly damaged in the recent storms ( there is NO such thing as property insurance here - or if there is it takes years to settle ! ) the whole community joins in, only for free drinks and snacks !!

And in our spare time have a stab at this game.

Colenal / Callit , I have ditched all of what I would call safe shares. I had a great return on all of my banking / b.society shares last year - PRU being the stand out with 100% rise ( nearly ) so it gave me the equivalent of 3 years pension payments, plus a bit of wiggle room.

I’m going to try total risk this year with 20% of the money and see if one hits really big, that would make me very happy !!

I have loaded a couple of existing stocks I have had for a while - NFX & THRU in the hope they will make a good return.

So in reality It’s just going to be luck rather than judgement - with a bit of educational banter thrown in !!

Can you go back a bit further in time, so that everyone can build a better picture of the situation, 2024 is a bit too present I think and things haven’t had chance to fully manifest themselves yet from such proximity in time.

This contract win, although not huge value, is huge confidence for THRU. To be selected in a sensitive, high security environment is a marker for the future success of the company.

I will hope to top up on the bell, because this will now be the starting line for the SP !!
