Why? They told us that there would be some income from Stearax by now, but they are actually completely dependent on other companies now as to whether/when they receive income. Still hold but reinvested in ARCI.

This is beginning to line up nicely for a fresh quote in due course, possibly combined with a moderate rights issue. A year or so later I can visualise a price of £2.50 per share, assuming of course that we are governed by a respected new BoD.

Are only good at one thing: trying to prove how essential the FCA is. I think that their requirements here will ensure that nothing gets done for months, if not years and there will be more, rather than less court cases. Since the amounts involved will be small, the already overworked County Courts will be even more overworked and this will still be kicking around in 2028.

Of course, this is about as good as it could get for Close Bros et al and I think I shall hold for at least another year for the divis and an increasing SP.

My knowledge is also possibly out of date but I thought there was a legal limit of six years. Anyway it will be for claimants to kick off their cases and I suspect hardly any will keep what used to be known as 'paperwork' that long. As a shareholder this is looking a shrewd bet. The cash I held in a Close Bros maturing account went into the shares at around £3.60, and I recently creamed a bit off before the FCA decision, just in case!

Totally agree with you. Time is on the side of the banks. Below a fiver these are a steal. Next few months will see them nearer £6. Divis will resume too.

With all the aggro there is in the world now, I can only see gold holdings becoming essential, rather than desirable. Glad these are in the p/f!
