I cast no aspersions on the company or the board indeed I'm very positive that lwb will provide a decent bounty for pi's. I just don't trust this market. I have ring fenced the funds to buy back in here ASAP regardless of the share price being higher or lower than today. Rightly or wrongly I expect this to be taken over by the Chinese. Their top man is going. Their Chinese factory is up and running suppling their home industries. They've started to sell off non core euro businesses " at a loss I may add " I just see these as signs that the company is setting up for something different. D. My opinion only obviously!

N2T Wouldn't argue with any points you've made. There appears to be two main camps here. The held to long squad, and the bought back in to soon squad. Fortunately I'm in the 2nd squad, indeed dfs will will probably mock me but I bought my 4th and last tranche today at 193p ish. Divi's are more tricky now I think. There are not many companies paying a higher yield than card and yet anyone holding or buying on here for the dividend and not dumping strategically afterwards is nursing a portfolio thumping loss. Rightly or wrongly I still think that a reasonable reversal off our current share price is immenent, but if I'm wrong and dfs gets his 150p. well good luck to him, it wouldn't be the first time I was wrong and someone else was right. D.

I see mediclinic's star shining a bit brighter of late. Maybe they'll be back here when their six months are up with a brighter offer !!!!! D.

I'm out this morning Mulder, on reading all the trading updates reported over this last year I couldn't convince myself that tomorrow's figure's are going to be anything better than ordinary. Me being out is probably good news for anyone still holding l have been known to get this kind of decision wrong ! Was in at 52p so at least it was out with a small profit. Good luck to all tomorrow. In hitting historical lows again today you would have thought card should have been shorted mercilessly. But it wasn't, still only 2.5% of stock shorted, surely if this was such a basket case the mercenary wing of the financial industry would have pounced late last year when card was priced at �3 +. No one is making money at this price. I take dfs's point about rising costs this spring when the minimum wage increase is implemented, but a large minority of retail and industrial companies face the same charge this spring and I'm not seeing wholesale 40% share price drope across other minimum wage paying companies. D.

Sorry this one not worked out for you drunk. Dfs predicting 150p. arsenal predicting 250p. No prediction from badger, if pushed between 150p and 250p. Like dfs I bought in for divi. sold 290's for slight profit + divi. All good news, well not quite. Bought back in 220's. 210's and 200'S The old saying " don't buy when you think it can't go any lower, it will go lower " Very apt for this. Like dfs ftse 350 drop an issue for me, currently mid 360's. We need to get to 220p's by end of February to be sure to stay in ftse, can't see us doing it but we'll see. D.

Creeping up last week or so after 6 months steady downwards movement. As always if your not into long term holding patience is the difficult part of this game we play. D.

I note from the half yearly trading update that the company will report a non recurring approx �10 million loss upon completion of the disposal of the Belgian business. �5 million from the same disposal to be used to pay down debt. The last this was mentioned was July. Something to think about !!! D.

Thought we were in recovery mode there for a day or two but alas it seems to have stalled. Just a case of waiting to see if we move forward or back from here. I know which one I want !!!! D.

Hi smt1 As I have had it explained to me in the past any transaction buy or sell greater than market size is allowed three days before it has to be reported. The market size on here is 1500, not all companies are the same. That is why you cannot be confident buy and sell reports are accurate. The buy or sell statements are made using the bid and offer prices when a transaction is reported not when the transaction was made, hence the dubiety around buy and sell totals. D.

I don't really understand the sells at the current prices no one is making money except the mm's and the brokers and they make their money whatever the share price is. As far as I know 68% of stock is in ii hands and only 2.5% of stock is shorted. Is that so bad. Let's see where the share price is in 4 weeks, my bet is it will be higher, cos' this is only glorified gambling!!!! My average is around 215p some pi's will be much lower, but some will be a helluva' lot higher. " you pays your money and you takes your chances " D.

Sept. last year when �50mill. + special divi. Payment to shareholders was confirmed. I couldn't see it being any earlier than that this year or indeed any other year because you can't really know if the business is doing well enough profit wise to pay a special divi. till near the end of the business year. D.

Hi drunk There's nothing reported anywhere that Woodford asset management has reduced their holding to less than 5%. They are nowhere near the largest holders on here anyway. Invesco asset management at 27% . Artemis investment management at 10% Majedie asset management 8% are the three largest holders. According to the FT. 68% of CARD stock was held in asset, investment or fund managers portfolio's on 31/12/2017. D.

We appear to have a buyer, most of the sells this week hoovered up in three buys. Still not a lot of money mind you !!!! D.

My best tip for takeover this year would be LWB. [ nothing to back that up just my opinion ] they were on my watch list for six months before i was forced to pull the trigger at 52p To my mind they have all their ducks in a row now and iv'e a feeling the Chinese are going to gobble them up. Its probably the only thing on my portfolio i wouldn't sell even if it was to show a good profit. Sorry for off topic guys. D.

Forgot to mention VRS looks interesting only had a cursory glance mind you. Early days for me only came across it at the weekend when it was mentioned on the doomed clln board. No wasn't in that pile of mortar !! Going to give it the once over see if it's worth adding to the watch list !!!! D.
