Cobus Loots, CEO of Pan African Resources, on delivering sector-leading returns for shareholders. Watch the video here.
I fully understand the discussion invest externally or internally for growth.
Whatever I would like the company to be seen to be doing something to achieve the promised figures of £90m £100m revenue with an EBITDA of 10% by 2020.
D.
It is high, especially when you consider that PETS appears to be a profitable well run company.
Retail in general is in a fair bit of trouble at the present time but I wouldn't think PETS was in imminent danger of doing a House of Fraser.
Time will tell I suppose, if, as we all appear to think this is way undervalued.
Could go up or down this week, who knows.
The biggest holding in my portfolio also the biggest loss so I know which way I want it to go.
D,
Chas
If you download the short tracker site to your desktop you can monitor the ups and downs of shorted shares yourself, it is updated each day after the market closes.
PETS. is currently shorted by 8 fund managers to the tune of 13.21%. and indeed is the top shorted share on the market.
Like Taff I'm bullish on Pets.
D.
I don't feel as though I've been misled, l'm quite happy for the Bod to invest some of the fund raising cash in house.
That makes absolute sense to me and indeed was communicated to us in the fund raising circular.
I would just like to know what happened to the 20 possible takeover targets 10 of which they were actively talking to 12 months ago.
I get it that it's better to take your time and buy a good Un ' than jump in quickly and buy a dud.
Is it so wrong to expect to be kept informed of the Bod's progress or indeed lack of in acquiring the revenue growing businesses spoken of last July.
I am not in the habit of ****ging of companies I'm invested in and I don't think I'm doing that now.
It's just my point of view 2 years into my current losing investment in TP group.
D.
While I accept your reasoning that growing the company through internal investment in new machinery and new processes is a sound way to grow the business.
That is not why and I suspect many others bought shares in TP group.
I quote from conditions of fund raising.
The AIM-traded firm stated " net proceeds would be used primarily to fund acquisitions which the directors believed have the potential to grow the business from it's current position to achieve targeted annual revenues in the £90m to £100m in 2020, with an EBITDA margin of greater than 10% ' AND ' to fund investment opportunities in the existing business"
Now my hope is that the Bod. are at worst just running slightly late on their revenue growing acquisition plans and very soon we will have the acquisition rns. most of the pi's and ii's expect.
D.
I can understand pi's who have changed from holders to watchers.
While it's pretty obvious that due diligence is the most important stage in the acquisition process, could we not have an occasional rns explaining any progress being made.
I can't believe the ii's who put up the £20m last year know as little as us the pi's.
Whatever there will be a revenue growing acquisition rns one day !!!!!
Though not the most patient of pi's I'm determined to stay the course with tpg.
Specialised engineering is not a get rich quick business, " i worked in it all my life " so l'm buckling down for this one.

Hi ck
Classic case of if you think something can't go any lower "it goes lower"
I've been waiting an entry price here for sometime could be it's here.
But then again.
D.
Nothing wrong with your memory Mulder.
I just feel there is and was a perceivable amount of deck clearing going on within LWB.
Your observation of the ceo " kitchen sinking " the negatives in the latest update describes perfectly what the board is doing.
Could be nothing more than the BOD adopting an honesty first policy and share price be dammed.
But if that is so, why?
Only bought back in last week on that price wrecking update so a bit rusty on the lwb front.
D.
Anyone thinking of topping up.
I was able to buy this morning below mid price.
7.1p
D.
Be interesting to see if we can hold today's early/mid day rise into the close BASHOR.
Would be nice to see an end to the 120's.
We've all had our chance to buy cheap or significantly lower our averages now, so a decent upward movement would be appreciated by all.
Except for the shorties obviously! !
D.
Sorry Knicol. I got it wrong. A senior moment there Takeover price is the highest price paid for shares during the preceding 12 months from the date an offer. All strictly hypothetical I know. D.
Can't see MA doing his white knight Knicol. As I remember the takeover rules. Any company takeover by a current share holder would legally have to be priced at the lowest share price of any shares added during the last twelve months. I'm not sure what MA's cheapest buy was in the last twelve months but I suspect it would be way way more than where we are now. He's quite a fickle guy so you never know. D.
He owns 29.7% of deb. He reached that percentage on 1st March this year with an 81 million share top up. Now whether that's a good thing or a bad thing, we will find out sooner or later. D.
I noted last night that SPD/MA has 100 mill. + Of its own shares held in treasury. I've always wondered why they never cancel any of the shares they buy back. Does anyone know if these treasury shares could be used to fund acquisitions. D.
Hi Rivaldo Not in Car yet It's been on my watchlist for around 3 months. I note you are a bit of a one man band on here. A knowledgeable one it seems. I have been waiting on this finals rns to make my decision to invest or not. I will watch carefully over the next few days. D.
