ShrewdDude. Does not really matter what the share price at close today is. It's all about next week now. Ex divi. trading, buy or sell is a bit speculative, so if you are a buy and hold for divi. or sell and re-buy for possible drop it's squeaky bum time. Personally I am sell if in profit and re-buy. To be honest SAGA is so undervalue " my opinion" I'll definitely be back in post ex divi. anyway. D.
Rno seems to be one of those unloved shares, there's plenty of them around. Finals out 29th. May. Notice says all as expected. Also been on my watchlist since initial downturn, kept falling since. If I remember the " bad news " rns half the business doing okay the other half not. At this level probably worth another look into the fundamentals to see what's what ! D.
2.5 billion new money to be spent on submarine fleet. New order for TPG let's hope so. D.
I've found the acquisition discussion on the board very interesting, it's good to hear what fellow investors think the company's strategy should be moving forward through this takeover phase. If I may put my tuppence worth in I sincerely hope our next target increases our manufacturing capability. The opening of the recent advanced engineering facility cannot be seen as anything other than a positive, however with a spend of 1.5 mill. it will do very little to substantially increase our production capability. That kind of spend buys you very little in the cnc machining and metrology market. D. .
It's nothing more than a coin toss. Take the divI or buy the drop. I was fortunate enough to have purchased pretty close to last low so thought take the 5 ton profit and buy back in post ex divi. We are all here for the same reason whatever strategy we use " us against them " Whatever the company does appear to be significantly undervalued at present so " I'll be back " Good luck with your buy. Furry. D.
Sorry should read SPI. Can't see medi bidding for Mike's baby. D.
Hi count Your figures are interesting to say the least however could I point out that the 261p you quote as the pre offer price of SPD was an inflated figure due to takeover rumours. The last price of SPD before takeover rumour was indeed slightly lower than where we are now. The case for takeover here is however still compelling and if this jumps 10% in one day on no positive news, history may well be repeating itself. D.
More going on here than meets the eye Robbo. My grand buy went through as a sell. It was much nearer the bid than the ask. 6.35p I note other people on here have reported the same. I'm not complaining, happy to top up slightly below my average. Let's see where we are at 4.30 pm. D.
Without positive news we'd probably have dropped to where we are now anyway. At least with this drop we've got the money required to keep the lame duck limping. On a more serious note my opinion only but it looks as though we're not producing enough coal to sign delivery contracts with any large customer's at the moment. I suppose we'll be a profitable coal supplier one day, but when? D.
Director out I thought we had to many chiefs after the merger anyway My buy similar to yours spit. 5% drop not the end of the world Happy to wait. D.
I note MA now has 100 million plus of SPD shares held in treasury. Could he use these for an all SPD shares buy out of Debs ??? 400 mill. + in treasury would buy him the 70% of Debs he doesn't own plus pay of most of the company debt. The heavy shorting here tells us the industry doesn't expect him to act at the moment. Worth watching for dramatic short closing, maybe a sign, who knows. D.

Hi Steelo I've been trying to broaden my portfolio with some new blood and saw your name so just thought I'd say hello. I've never given this one more than a second glance but I think you and the other guys one here might be in a good one. Going to give the back rns's and the fundamentals a study over the next few day's with a view to coming aboard. SDX boding well for me at the moment, I can't have a portfolio without an oil minnow in it. D.
Ex divi date drop Paul. It's very seldom a share price doesn't dip post ex divi date. Also negative general retailer sentiment today courtesy of Debs. D.
Also in this morning " not heavy " I don't expect there to be a massive rise from here but I do expect some kind of lift once the ex divi stuff is out the road. It was hardly a surprise that hammerson never followed through with their offer, share price of both company's told us that, so the drop this morning I'm putting down to the market going through the motions of a failed acquisition. Whatever let's see where we are in a months time. D.
A bit of a struggle to buy shares in any quantity this morning . Finally managed my final top up when the ask was raised to 5.80p. I suppose I should have done it last week but as usual " missed the boat " D.
