Home use DIY is a whole different ball game - no one has this badge yet

I have asked the company direct for confirmation
They are no where on the MRHA approved suppliers

In fact not 1 business can sell Covid 19 tests direct to the public in the U.K.

Let’s put aside they have 11 staff , £32,000 in the bank and the small point they have not confirmed they will file accounts to companies house, this outfit is a small distributor, can’t manufacture and has no IP whatsoever.

It’s looking like no chance Biosure secured MHRA approval to be the only company in the world to be allowed to sell a DIY Covid test direct to the U.K. public, especially with the vaccine waning / no 3rd jab for the masses, these guys have took a flyer to grab a quick £buck.

If that’s correct then in theory Omega could start selling their antibody test to Joe Public - not going to happen without MHRA clearance

Biosure have took a punt here to make a few quid quickly
stick the MHRA logo on their web site
Abingdon got a pump on their share price

MHRA are going to step in eventually

If there is a ‘ loop hole ‘ via Northern Ireland that any one can by pass MHRA Home use can’t see that staying open for long or the U.K. will be flooded with dodgy tests being sent out to the public … just at the same time we hear the vaccine wanes and no 3rd jab for the masses

Think this a problem for Abingdon - from our position as Omega it’s no competition

They can probably only get the odd thousand made at a time unless Abingdon giving them serious credit

Bigbangs, I wouldn’t normally disclose info on a small U.K. company thats having a go out there - 11 people employed

But they are selling ‘ their ‘ test as a Home Use antibody test, to the public , for £32.50 and as competition to Omega who also have their own Antibody test that they can’t sell to the public direct.

TW questioned the accuracy ?

But if Abingdon jumped £30M m/cap on this tie up this week then unless we are missing something then it’s a bit of a Henry Halls Up.

TW queried the result from the test, who knows where Biosure picked up the reagent from ? Probably China ?
Certainly not their own

Think we have say these guys don’t have MHRA authorisation as the only provider in the whole of the U.K. to send out Home Tests to the public.
