why do shareholders sell the at the current SP level (which is below the placing price) - it doesn't make sense to me.

Although my holding is fairly large it would take many of my kind to fullfill the 5% threshhold for a "notion" which - at least at this time - is not imperatively the way to go.

maestro1: I'm afraid the funders have no other choice than to buy at 3.5p - they've committed to buy a certain volume at a certain price. They're locked in. Of course they are always welcome to raise their stake and buy at market prices (as long as it's possible).

I agree MON1: If there was wrongdoing then we need to know. Consequently, there needs to be an investigation. Nobody has anything to fear if PM's conduct was within the rules.

GKahn: I don't need to tell you that you only lose money once you actually sell. That is not your style. I'm sire you know that this is a holding operation - whether we like it or not. PM's SP will rise again - no doubt about it - just can't say when.

Gkahn: I know you would like PM to do well. Particularly in the interest of its investors (like you). Unforrtunately we don't know what is going on behind the scenes. W/o respective explanations we PIs are somewhat left alone and can't really understand what is going on. However, one thing we do know: the current situation sucks - big time; and it's time for some explanations on behalf of PM's management/board.

That's because the Market Makers allowed low buy prices; they (justifiably) believe this SP will take off as soon as respective news rolls in - and that's when they make their killing.

Ibiza: I guess that's how it works (more or less). As a LTH I clearly cannot be happy with that - but it is how it is.

The "grand scheme of things" is what keeps us LTHs going - so you're defo right on that one. On the other hand we know the Chinese don't throw money at you and will as you say want to "get a cheap deal done". So the SP slippage we are seeing is not totally irrelevant.
Whatever: The big and long term picture for PM is still bright.

would've thought this would stop before it reaches 3p - but it looks like we're almost there. I would expect the buys to increase (even more than now)!
