I didn’t think we’d assault the castle of 1700p quite so quickly, even if it was a bit of a dry run.

Pretty confident we’ll be back in the next few trading days unless the political situation worsens …

I’m not for 1 minute expecting 5 or 6% rise to hold but if we get half that I’ll be very happy.

Slow and steady wins the race.

An exciting morning for sure & if we stay above 1610p at the close I shall be very pleased.

It’s less than a fortnight since we breached 1700

One of these spikes soon we’ll breach & hold it.

I wonder if it’s going to be one of ‘those’ days?!

If the recent low of 1500p holds as a new higher low then that is a tremendous uplift & significant progress in the right direction (assuming you’re long of course)

I wouldn’t disagree with any of this analysis on either side.

I’m sticking with the twin strengths of mean reversion and the fact that higher highs and higher lows are being achieved consistently.

Wizz Air feels substantially undervalued on a range of metrics and Varadi has placed it firmly for longer term growth & sustainability - both of which are & will be important to investors. The sustainability card particularly & I suspect that’s not much in the share price at the moment.

The Ukraine war has very sadly been going on for 3 years already now & Varadi long ago ‘densified’ his routes elsewhere - a strategy that seems to be paying off.

The headwinds have been substantial but what doesn’t kill us makes us stronger & the Wizz Air team have had to dance pretty hard to manage the situations they have encountered.

Of course only time will tell.

The traders can only trade and the accumulators can only accumulate because people unfortunately get spooked to sell …

Or of course you could say that IF the 1500p mark proves to be a new bottom, then the higher lows continue to develop in the right direction & continue to be a good sign … have a look at the last 6 months & see why others might be creating fear of much lower lows.

As Retirement Plan said, quite rightly, 2.5% drop - it’s a Wednesday.

I’m not cavalier but no one can expect volatility in one direction only …

The Office for National Statistics said the increase in January was driven largely by a smaller-than-usual drop in air fares that month - a volatile component that had pushed inflation down in December - and a rise in automotive fuel prices

Sadly not at a 6 for 5 bargain price!

Ha! It felt like a Friday trading day … no - one more day to go - fingers crossed as you say!

I’m very happy with 6% on a sniff of the possibility of the war coming to an end in Ukraine.
