In other words some of the cash that was showing on the PMO books at year end (80 odd million) was actually Cairns and it was for project completion. The were notes about it. It has moved off the balance sheet as has our cash flow to service a 240million cost in half 1 re the finalizing of the catcher development. So in half 2 at current oil prices things will look a lot better. As per the company requires $65 to meet its commitments and achieve the targets set out re 1st quarter 2019.

The presentations say clearly that at $65 the debt will be 3x at end 2018 and 2.5x at end 1st qtr 2019. So my expectation is they reach targets sooner. But that doesn't seem to be the case. So we just have to wait and see or not.

Agreed that something is amiss. And $65 was never the BE mentioned by PMO. That figure was mentioned wrt to the business case through 2023. I think they are full of shite at this stage. Average oil at 70+ in Qtr 2. Lower costs, lower BE and even some sales completing. Conveniently jumbling things up now with discrete mentions of the account net debt and the covenant net debt. The only explanation I see but it's not clear is that the money on balance sheet from partner cairn in catcher has now been accounted out of pmo books. Hence that no longer reflects as money on account or in cash.

Yes. I'm sure your right. But having experience of this industry for 20 years I have come to take schedule predictions with a pinch of salt. A bunch of clever people looking at primaVera tying this to that and removing all sense of proportion generally leads to unattainable dates in contracts to begin with. To me all that matters is safe start up and full capacity when ready and if there is an issue it should be notified. I think I would prefer slowly slowly catch the monkey than the texas start up method when gas is the process stream.
