I still fondly remember this BB dunking on me for misuse of market lingo regarding how the share price had performed and Ian rather graciously came to my rescue with a sincere explanation and a naked inferance of if I did know and was being disingenuous with my posting I was a bot fly. This was back in the end of 2019. A different world.

Not for me personally beyond my dinsintergrating vertebrae x2 but almost lost my step dad to the wuflu in Febuary (who beat cancer 2 years before that), then met someone as lockdown finally began to end only to almost lose them to it and then they got in a car crash.
Complications of covid damaged her heart so it kept stopping during surgery to save her arm. She slipped into a coma for 6 weeks and woke up 3 weeks ago. You'd think I would be overjoyed and while I am happy for her and her family she does not remember me. She suffered a massive stroke during the coma. Bit of a rough situation if I'm quite honest. All I want to do is liquidate my portfolio and get on a plane to go be by her side (crashed on autobahn, 120 mph). But. Well. Pointless endeavour so I'll keep tight hold of these tickets.

Not to be that guy but it kinda grinds my gears when people act like the science is settled regarding anthropogenic C02 driven climate change. The science is not settled regarding ppm increases of C02. I am also very scientific, it's why I side with the science that concludes for every doubling of co2 there is a doubling of water vapour leading to more cloud formation which has a net cooling effect. Some scientists argue it has a heating effect as opposed to cooling. Then one has to refect on our anthropogenic input Vs things like the Pacific Rim of Fire.
That's a lot of volcanoes spewing out volumes of gases that dwarf human industry. There is also the Michailevich Cycles (likely butchered the spelling) that is often overlooked by both sides of the debate. A truly amazing feat of maths pre calculators performed in the 18th century by a Russian of the same surname. We are currently in Perhelion of those cycles, an important aspect to consider when trying to predict the future of climate in more long term timescales.

Then there is the recent fact, as evidenced by sun spot activity, Sol has entered into a solar minimum period so solar radiation will decrease as much as 15% and could last as little as 50 years or as long as 50000 years. Yet another aspect that shows the science is not settled regarding climate change as whose model accounts for that relatively new variable? For all we know this interglacial age is spiking into a mini hot age before dropping back into an ice age. And there's the perenial problem that I keep reading references to the hockey stick graph to this day but that graph is bunk as it did not include the medivel cold age data. I intend to use some of the proceeds from EUA to not only get an electric mountain bike but also go to The Chernobyl Exclusion Zone and pay my respects at the Liqudators Monument. Been a dream of mine since I was a kid and watched a documentary about it. 60 second shifts on the ruined roof was all one man was allowed in a day. They tried robots but the radiation fried them.
If not for those irradiated firemen, soldiers conscripts and volunteers Europe would have been a radioactive wasteland for millenia.

After a rather bad shift in the pub kitchen (an old boy needs to retire but refuses to accept it despite screwing up every shift) it is quite nice to see this thread. I opted for a little over 5k shares in my ISA to go with my 10k shares in trading account for SAR this payday. It was a tossup between VELA and SAR but with 500k in an ISA and 1.3 in trading, in VELA, I opted for SAR if only because I've been kicking myself for nigh on 2 years for not getting some EUA in an ISA when I could afford it.
Either way. Here's to me escaping the zero hour min wage rat race sometime soon and forgive my rambling to blow off steam. I love that old boy, he's a really genuine person but good lord. I am very pleased to see the company inculde that caveat. IMO it shows the company is not just trying to pump itself while at the same time showing the market and shareholders what is going on. I personally am very tempted to top up some but would have to sell elsewhere to do so which I am not currently willing to do. Wow, TMS said something I agree with. Charting is the epitome of psuedosicence and survivor bias. It can track trends however it can't predict trend breaks and that is what we do as investors is it not? Look for companies that have trend breaking events in the future.
I just so happen to think EUA will have an asset value realisation event casuuing a trend break of pretty epic proportions at some point. No time scale on it from me however, I gave up on that long ago. However if I see 10p Pd cast tickets even this burger flipper would average up for the first time since I invested almost 2 years ago now. Been kicking myself since pre and post suspension for not doing so lol.

Arghhhhhhhh me hearties.... okay I will stop now. I too should have sold a % of those palladium cast tickets in the 40p range however I anit bought or sold since 0.98p days. Apparently the same day the infamous Rowka invested...coincidence? Dun dun dun durrr! I jest, as I am feeling the pain of EUA today but it's either going to be the best 140 quid punt LTH punt ever or a portracted lesson in topslicing. I was up over 4000% at one point...sigh.
Absolute worst part is when I invested in EUA I did so with what I had left after funding a CFD trading account. It went well until it didnt. MFW I could have had hundreds of thousands of Pd tickets to topslice with but I never did as I felt I had too small a share of the pie overall @ 14k odd shares. This is not the case with VELA :)

PS. I think today it should be noted a massive geopolitical event has occurred, ie the fall of Afghanistan. This will have spooked markets. Another share of mine just RNS'd details of drills turning and the added possibility of lithium discovery on top of the targeted copper. Tiny rise, slight dip. Flat. My other 9 holdings all down, bar one, at time of writing.
I personally expect some wider market jitters while Afghanistan transfers to Taliban dominion.

It should also be borne in mind a massive geopolitical event has just transpired in Afghanistan. Wider markets will be spooked. IMO we are unfortunate in that the news we wanted, confirmation drilling underway, plus more, possibility of lithium, arrived on a bad day in the wider markets.
Regardless I have no sold any yet and I will be the first to say I am looking for a decent topslice around the ATH. GLA.
