Well myself I'm just enjoying being able to walk without a walking stick again. Hurt like just walking to the local shops to collect a script that could not be fulfilled (yayyy, now I can't get my dressing changed professionally) in the end but twas nice to get out in the sun for 15 minutes. For those who keep up with the innane ramblings of a burger flipper; a personal status update.

It was just 2 days ago I was being prepped for surgery. Surgery that I ducked because I let a surgeon take a small stick and stick it (CONTENT WARNING, DON'T EAT 'N READ THIS!) right into my perianal abscess with zero painkillers in system. It allowed him to determine that A. I was not exaggerating when I said I had developed a butt orange ie clementine/jaffa (most are grape sized at worst). And B I would not, hopefully, need surgery after all as this triple chambered behemoth of an abscess had drained 2 of the chambers fully and naturally. Which surprised the surgeon (honey beats antiseptic if you ask me). Finally C. That abscess had being growing down my leg, into my groin and radially across my right buttock, if that thing had burst all at once or antibiotics took longer to kick in I could have lost the leg if I survived the sepsis. Survive all that and lose a chunk of my right buttocks to surgery. Needless to say I should have being hospitalized on the 31st.

So basically ladies and gentlemen I've being in an unexpected life and death medical situation since the start of the month. And what's worse is friends and family are aghast at the 1st GP's diagnose. No issues once I saw a different GP but, well. There's a GP, a bunch of doctors and one surgeon asking why I was sent home with just a 2 week sick note and some antiboitics and nothing else on the 31st. Not even good painkillers and stomach acid controlling meds.
I've being brought well and truly low and best part is Statuary Sick Pay means I may well have to kiss goodbye to that final 5k in trading at some point in the next few weeks, I'm pretty screwed financially by this butt orange saga. Down to a large marble now at least. And to think it was just the other week that I did 50 mile on my bike in 2 days no problem, on top of 2 twelve hour split shifts.
Moral of the grim story. Never take life for granted and be prepared for the worst in life. If not for friends and family I don't know what I would have done.

Just to be of EUA note. Personally I am not expecting anything until November, not sure why others think there will or should be before then. I agree with the notion that the BOD are being advised to be tight lipped and below the radar by their NOMAD and also LB's excellent put up or shut up notion as per DFS. For those thinking nothing has happened with EUA since, like, forever. Watch the videos others kindly put together. The company has demonstrably progressed.

Goldstinger, the (wounded) burger flipper salutes your attitude and logic. It's certainly why I am here despite really needing an injection of capitol (SSP so next months pay cycle is screwed). Indeed. I think the long slide from the highs and the time being rangebound has tainted some peoples views of Bill. Sure his speaking skills left a lot to be desired, the Capstone JV left a lot to be desired but other than those 2 things I personally have nothing but praise for BOD for not simply treading water for 2 years but actively pushing EH, Munni Munni, Hanc0ck,Brockman,Vivash. Although maybe the focus given to Mexico and Greenland was misplaced but hey. Can’t win them all.

WTF is going on… got woken up by a phone call from the doctors. They’ve gotten a letter from hosipital saying they need to set up district nurse appointment to change my dressings. They aplogised for unasked for early call, told them it’s fine and gave them what they needed.
Checked LSE with blurry eyes and low and behold, UFO RNS. That’s 3 for 3 doctor interactions and UFO RNS. This is becoming a Jungian Synchronicity and I aint complaining.
Happy to see the top dog properly motivated, always good when you hear talk of realising shareholder value and know that that statement will mean something to the BOD on a personal level. One of the reasons I’m still in EUA tbh. Now if Bill were to buy his shares and then sell that tranch to pay for the next lot I’d be a bit concerned as to their timelines but given the stated interest in munni munni one assumes Rod’s ambitions with UFO are more long term than that.

myavian. Absolutely and guess who has IBS thanks to being a terribly fussy eater as a child. In my defense the kn0bhead father in question force fed me mashed up left over sunday dinner. To the point I puked cos he was going to fast. He gave a whack across the head, mashed it all up and forced it into me. Mam said I changed from typical kid to a bacon butty, toad in the hole and turkey dinosaurs diet overnight. Veg? Texture issues, fruit? Texture issues. Fibre? Wheetabix with spoons full of sugar across the top. Utterly terrible diet for years, my mam tried her best but when up against childhood trauma what's a mother to do.
So yeah. I may have shot myself in the foot with that one re complications. I didn't break those bad habits until my mid 20s and even now at 34, it's a conscious effort to do the 5 a day thing and there's many things that texture wise just make me bork (cooked onion is my nemesis but oh my if I don't relish the crunch and flavour of raw red onion now). The sheer irony of me being a chef lol.

Right, enough rambling from me. It's time to actually play a video game now I can lay down with a keyboard and mouse a cross my lap and not cry in agony. Good luck and good health all.

PS. Is there anything better than the feeling of fresh bed sheets? Yes. Fresh bed sheets after thinking you were going to be laid in a hospital bed that night either recovering or awaiting surgery; having spent the past 4 days leaking into your bed despite best efforts. Gosh darn it if this has not being a kick up the arse (ba dum tschhh). Don't take life for granted as well as have plans and provisions for unexpected bouts of egregious ill health (and economic downturns, very glad I did a 3 month provision type shop just before my health fell off a cliff).

Hey there people. Good news, I dodged surgery if only because I tanked the mind numbing pain of a doc sticking a tiny stick with scoop in my abscess (no painkillers in my system at all BTW) and determing A, it was genuinely huge compared to most cases and spreading in all direction across my butt, leg and groin but also it had naturally fully drained and B. No point in even a surgical cut and clean that I would have been knocked out for.

Seems I'm on the right path, could still go backwards and there are complications to these conditions (fistula) but I think the GP who initially just gave me antibiotics and a 2 week sick note, nothing else(not even advice to stockpile absorbent pads, micropore tape etc should it burst) is going to be getting into a spot of bother cos, well. I was in a bit of a life and death situation for 72 hours as the antibiotics kicked in. The different GP I saw today, what a difference. He took one look at the abscess and was on the phone to local hospitals surgery people and explained things to me.

Anyway. Thanks for the concern ladies and gents, it's being one of the most medically difficult episodes of my adult life honestly speaking and it came out of nowhere. Just 2 weeks ago people at work were saying how fit and healthy I looked. Also get this for some lovely coincidence. Decided on 30 I must go see GP in morning. Next morning? 100% Offtake RNS. Yesterday I am basically told by my best mate, get your F'ing self to the doctor ya eejit, I aint ever seen you look like this. This morning? "Acquisition agreement boosts Han**** Development." Correlation does not necessarily equal causality however that's a pattern right there.
My sick note runs out on the 14th. Gonna need to double check things with a GP visit....

Oh the irony of that typo as I sit here in James Cook Hospital wondering if I'm going in for surgery for a perianal abscess or if it's the much more simple draining process.
The irony of course being I am an exceptionally patient person however this unexpected and frankly brutal medical issue (most are grape sized, I grew a butt orange...) leads me to having to entertain selling the 100k trading position in the coming weeks as opposed to sometime next year.
It's that or credit card debt so I can pay my bills next month given money lost to Staturary Sick Pay.

Anyway. I thoroughly concur with the notion we should puch back on talk of selling IOCA. If I hear talk of selling IOCA from the BOD I would be exceedingly unimpressed and indeed pushback against such,imo,qq short sighted thinking. Unless of course the BOD wangle a deal to good too turn down but with AA I doubt it.

That's me 9 years ago as I attempted a Youtuber gamer career circa 2012-13 in between jobs. I actually got offered a contract by a studio associated with the people behind Pewdiepies early rise to internet fame (Maker Studios). No BS, damn glad I turned it down as the 1st "Ad-pocalypse" occurred mere weeks after that offer. That meant anyone who signed up to a Multi-Channel-Network entered legally dubious waters if they were net the likes of Pewds.

The video is only a minute long, I make no money from it but Google does and it contains Final Fantasy 7 victory music after I pull off what I was trying to do. I have a main of hair these days and much less of a gut. I really am that real and in the words of my dad joke orientated cycle buddy, I suck at jokes but excel at self deprecation and or dry humour.
So this hard R (to save censorship) is here to stay (in EUA, fundamentals and all that jazz).

Understandale gruffles lol. Evidently I needed to get that off my chest. I highly doubt the management realise the embarrassment they have caused me given my O/T post here and statements made to friends and family. Lesson learnt, never take anything for granted until it is in writing and legally final. Funnily enough I owe these revelations to my head chefs mother who is a cleaner for the pub and a kitchen worker whenever the head chef needs it (nepotistic or what, they are not even officially trained to work the kitchen so there goes corporate compliance.) They mentioned that I may want to get this head chef role confirmed in writing which led to the miscommunication conversation with my GM.
But yeah. My single parent 'Ma did not raise me to be work shy. My job is dog s h it e, the pay is worse but I can hold my head high. I earn my wages with literal blood sweat and tears.
