Both are correct and long term it should be ok, The one off charge caused the problems. We have bought in 6 times so although we do not like the balance sheet, we still have long term confidence. More buyers will come in as the SP goes up as we said previously. At least the bad news is out and possible not as bad as it could have ben. They do have a lot of gold to mine as well.

current liaillities of £33 milion looks iffy with only 700k in the bank. current assets show 17.5 million which we take it is owed to the company. . but these current assets are just a fraction (4%) from the previous year. .. A rights issue to shore up the balance sheet? How after yrs of mining are things so bad?

Why is the share price steadily going up with so little cash? perhaps it it because they feared things were worse than they are. Once there is a steady SP rise people jump in so they do not miss out (or that is what they think) and it just goes higher
A rights issue to get money in the bank may be the answer. one for one at 2p would help. It is a low extraction cost company which does help lont term. Wondering if we should buy more stock as this may still be a very low price.

Would some kind person please tell two old timers who struggle to keep up what is / are Tier 1s we keep reading about.
SEE is one of the few shares we now directly invest in (Invest trusts have around 90% of our investments) and though it is only a small amount invested we are thinking of adding to it, as something keeps nagging at us that if the company is not going bust then it must be worth a great deal more than 6.5p. We made a good profit on SEE when we sold out in the past but there where still a few thousand shares that were inadvertently not sold, Perhaps a lucky omen! If the company needs to raise cash it would not cost us a lot with the price so low. We read your comments about the firm and it often means little to us as. Technology has left us 30 years behind. Funny really as a young teen I predicated vehicles that drove themselves, but on rails connected to electricity to power them.

You always get a lot of chats when a company is in trouble, and the share price is declining with possible more bad news to come, companies that are high flying get few as everyone is sat back congratulating themselves.

I always worry when small companies start to go down like this. is 2p the place it will end at. If you think so sell up and rebuy at 2p. If not get stuck in to filling your pockets with them,then in time to come, you will look back and say what a bargain. We only have a few thousand shares now and would have sold them at 10.45 am if the computer had not been playing up. Down 35% if you buy now and it does return to 10p you would be making 50% profit. IF!!

So this drop in price could be an invitation to increase holdings, let it settle then buy a few more, is what we will do.

Must be close to a bargain and with a divi of 7% which at that rate you will have recouped your investment after 14 years, leaving the stock as all profit. Not sure why it has drifted or why they shorted this particular stock. Hate these shorter's as that is not investing. Nice to see a price increase. We no longer hold directly but have a stake in ESO who own considerable amount in LUCE. They are very bullish about LUCE

We hold so many trusts we cannot remember each ones quality when you are nearly 80, We are running at a loss on this one which we only invested in at the start of the year, but will continue to top up the share if it is sound. We have a lot of hospital and docs appts. at the moment so it is easier to get basics from those on here. they actually often come up with something we have missed. We now only buy I.Ts with just the odd individual share that looks very cheap. I.Ts give you access to places we cannot go to. Along with the OPTIONS we sell this keeps us with an interest. Selling options we find a better reward and the % is better than spread betting which we only use when a company / indices is very cheap and buy a long dated spread. We tend let others do the work now, I.E. Investment Trusts and read your comments after our research. when buying a new investment.

Can you remind us why we bought these twice, what do they invest in why the price drop. Before we add to our holdings as you all (most) seem positive about them . Are they Africa investments?

This spread dealer tickles me, do they actually have any one who trades this share with a spread of about 20%. As with all small companies they are scared of losing out. A bit like their weekend trading quotes of the FTSE 100 with a spread of about 8-9p. The market hardly moves that each weekend.

PROBLEM IS INVESTORS ARE FED UP AND THINKING LETS SELL WE CAN ALWAYS BUY IT AT A LOWER PRICE LATER IF WE WANT TO. PLENTY OF OPPORTUNITIES ELSEWHERE, MOST INVESTORS DO NOT LIKE TO SEE THEIR INVESTMENT GO DOWN SO THEY GET OUT AND IT MULTIPLIES AS THE SHARE FALLS. THEY WORK ON THE WELL PROVED ADAGE OF DOWN 10% GET OUT. AFTER ALL IT IS JUST AN INVESTMENT TO THEM AND THEY WANT RETURNS. NOT INTERESTED IN THE FUTURE. US? WELL WE SHOULD HAVE SOLD OUT A FEW WEEKS AGO BUT OUR REMAINING HOLDING IS VERY SMALL NOW SO WE ARE HANGING IN.

If Crispin sold short at £2 or plus he has a nice profit now of about 20% He may be thinking (or knowing) that the shops in these properties are doing no good and will close down reducing the income and dividend for Intu.
