RE: What you never get from any RNS14 Feb 2020 11:10
Have to get them (OMAN) to invest into FFWD!!!!!!
We DO NOT LIKE being listed along with others as being labeled "genius" The others may be, but we certainly are NOT genius's.
Ourselves are simply investors who read various articles in various places that others, (along with yourself with the rest of you on here included) who have spent hours, days and years researching to publish this formation, relating to our investment strategy , then we pick and choose what we call decent information and act upon it if we can.
We have on a few occasions thanked you all for the information you have posted, a little of which we do not have a clue what it is about. The links on occasions meant absolutely nothing to us either. perhaps our age or more likely lack of understanding being the reason.
The only thing in our favour is the acting correctly on the information we receive. You are never to old to learn from others.
What we do, is not mind blowing but simple patience.
We now buy ITs with a large discount and / or at the bottom end of their price range. A big discount often improves the dividend pay out.
I.Ts, sectors and companies etc. that are out of favour causing their share price to be to low and due for a rebound is what we have done over the years. The only tricky thing is at what price do you go at. We thought the FFWD rebound this time would come between 7.25 and 7.75 which has proven incorrect, with us adding at 7.5p. Though this should not prove too disastrous eventually. Now we are thinking it may go to 6.6 to 6.99 before enough come back in. At a 6.6p bid we have found a few pennies to buy in at at this price. Again the big FFWD discount is a good cushion and any one who has a average buy price of 11p plus should, if they can, be buying heavily to get their average down to 8 - 8.5p (which is above our average), an average we created by buying under and just over 6p.
Over the years we have mentioned a lot of companies and I.Ts that were underpriced and gave people a chance to make a decent profit, now ITs that invest in small companies and emerging markets look a good investment . We are NOT clever enough to find companies whose future profit will be a lot more than generally expected.
Must apologies for last nights note as I was far from being well, a fact that is continuing to day. Some of the last trades yesterday afternoon were on reflection buys not sells, something I overlooked last night.
What we write is often meant as light relief from the deep writings of others.
We would like one last "killing" on here as it is 30-40 years since we made a real killing, which was buying warrants on Perpetual inc & Grth I.T. so hopefully FFWD will be our swan song.
