For myself, I associate the term with long-term investors such as pension funds, insurance companies, ...

For others, it seems to mean any investor apart from a private investor, so it can include, for example, broking houses which are simply taking a trading position.

You say you don't know all that much about the City and then you say that AIM is "TOTALLY different to how they would behave with main stream stocks".

But, without knowing how they would behave with main stream stocks, you are not in a position to make this assertion.

The City will back potential winners - it is for UKOG to convince the City it is a potential winner. In raising £4.5m very quickly, it has made a very good start since its return from suspension.

Such placings can be very finely priced but the aim is usually to seek to ensure there is upside potential for subscribers, to facilitate any future placings.

For myself, the present share price decline is temporary and simply reflects all that has happened since the stock's resumption of trading 20 calendar days ago.

PS: given that the share price has now slipped below the placing price, one can say that CMC Markets' pricing of the placing was very fine for their client company.

Care to elaborate on the "market gig guns", which "market big guns" are taking an interest in UKOG, please?

The MOU with National Gas and the market's evident enthusiasm for it (£4.5m raised very quickly, more than the double of the company's market cap at the time of its suspension) have injected noteworthy credibility into UKOG.

Let us see how the company negotiates the next stages of its projects.

On the back of which UKOG raised £4.5m very quickly indeed. It's the kind of "ZERO face value MOU" that has proven very beneficial to the company.

... unless, of course, most shareholders hold, in which case it is those who do trade who move the share price.

For myself, mimbrit, I am looking for UKOG to partner with an infrastructure major and for news re the planning consent process for HH + perhaps some more information about the bottom up initiatives in Dorset.

Others may well be looking for news on other fronts.

What's in the pipeline is pretty clear from recent RNSs but he can't announce anything until there is something definite to announce.
