RE: Amazing week6 Jan 2018 12:27
@addicknt. "You should also consider the number of shares KDNC has in issue". Come on @addicknt, you know this is just spreading irrelevance to those that might not know any better.
In addition, it isn't a certainty that the next rise in KDNC will be due to BCN. It could be due to EMH (on political resolution), or Yangibana (being sold), or Argentina (good early exploration results), or indeed anyone of KDNC's other assets (MMS + AOU striking rich). Of course it *could* be BCN too: which I agree, feels the most likely for the next week or two! And not just the direct holding: but the 30% JV's KDNC owns becoming much more attractive the closer to funding Sonora becomes ;-)
I'm very positive about BCN (but more so KDNC) - it's because I see lithium demand, driven by increasing EV + Solar, requiring storage, far outstripping the growth projected by incumbent analysts over the next decade: more in line with what Tony Seba has to say. I foresee this likely leading to sustained and then increased lithium carbonate prices above $20,000/t: some are saying $100,000/t is possible. Take a look at the following for the implications on this project:
"Feasibility Study Estimates Net Present Value of US$1.25 billion and Internal Rate of Return of 26% for the Sonora Lithium Project" (13 December 2017)

Extending Table 8: Sensitivity Analysis (Li2CO3 Selling Price)
@$11,000/t Pre Tax NPV@8% = $1,253.0m
@$12,100/t = $1,560.2m
@$13,200/t = $1,867.5m (corrected their typo)
@$14,300/t = $2,175m
@$15,400/t = $2,482m
@$16,500/t = $2,789m
@$17,600/t = $3,096m
@$18,700/t = $3,403m
@$19,800/t = $3,711m
After tax that ~@$20,000/t becomes around $2.6B. And that is before the NPV for stage 1 production has been increased, and likely stage 2 also. Vive Sonora! ;-)
