Just my little contribution about stock tips for what it’s worth. I’m in DDDD as they had a massive drop yesterday to what was essentially very positive set of results. I still can’t fathom why and they do seem to be pulling back some of the drop today.

Seemed a crazy reaction by the market to a positive set of results. I suppose there must be a lot of traders who just try to go with market flow and not investors who look at the fundamentals?

Been looking for an entry point here for a little while and just jumped in 4,444 shares in 4 D at 127 a share. GLA.

Interesting thought I think you could be onto something there.

As soon as the upheld complaints are seen to come down then the share price will rightly rocket.

Complaints certainly haven’t stopped as the FOS site shows they had increased 177% last quarter. I just hope that the data reflects an overhang from before they changed their lending practices. (They’ve turned the tap off so to speak and the remaining water of complaints is draining away).

I think the complaint issue is the key and pivotal issue for the future of the company. If upheld rates remain high profit from lending will be hit by penalties from FCO and payouts. If they come down it shows prudent lending going forward is achievable by the current BOD and the future profitability of Amigo. JB stated his was his motives for wanting to remove the directors as they weren’t addressing the issues behind the high upheld rates so I hope they are being addressed now.

I think the BoD only released this RNS as Glen would have checked that he wasn’t tied in to hold those shares with the lock in agreement. I don’t think he necessarily will be selling immediately as he paid much more than the current levels for his last purchase of Amigo shares (30+p). I did think he held about 6% overall, so if he is checking he can sell his last purchase he might be anticipating having to sell all his holdings? If he does sell at a loss that will be me out!

I’m going to keep a substantial amount here for the long term if JB wins, but even if he loses I will keep at least a third of my holding in as the potential long term gain is huge.

Just to add I think the current BoD didn’t allow Glen the power to stop the irresponsible lending and that’s why he resigned

Here’s my guess then.

I’d like to think GC is meeting JB after the vote So that if JB wins (which I believe he will do) to allow himself to be persuaded to come back on board (hopefully as CEO of Amigo UK while JB can be CEO Amigo internationally and manage the brand worldwide) as it would be in his interest as a significant shareholder and if given the power to act they can resolve the irresponsible lending that have led to such high upheld complaints rates and make this business highly profitable again.

I think my trading style is called “pot luck” lol ;-)

Hi Mark knowing my luck it will pull back even further but I’m back in there now.

I felt bad reducing my all in position in Amigo so very much doubt JB could walk away even if he lost the vote (which I don’t think will happen).

Hi Twisty, sorry for the late reply. Thanks for the steer to RR. Looking to add that one to my ISA now as I’ve decided to diversify my portfolio. Still substantial holding in Amigo though. Would hate to just be seeing Amigo through from the sidelines. Must be even harder for JB
