Previous to the block listing RNS on the board change RNS AVACTA stated “As Avacta transitions to a pure-play biotechnology company, we have initiated the process of appointing an independent non-executive director with relevant international commercial experience and expertise. A further announcement will be made in due course." - is this connected to the announcement to be made?

Recent big boys along with director Peter Presland recently having purchased 3,398,553 ordinary shares of 0.1 pence each ("Ordinary Shares") at a price of 0.44p per share. Buying or as I’ve done today topping up at anywhere near or below that price would all point to this share being seen as a fair risk. GL

Not sure why OXB came out in my posts (might have been auto miss-corrected) but I hold my hands up that the three letter abbreviation in my posts are wrong 😑 OBD is correct. It was Oxford biodynamics the company that make EpiSwitch - all the comparisons that I was making about this company OBD are correct including Rishi visit in Feb 2025, a director topping up their ISA, recent significant buy by another director and II holdings - All unlike here with Avacta - no director buying in significant amounts a II shorting the stock and a continual drain on the SP while the company pushes the timeframe on.

At the risk of inviting some other names - It’s called Avacta frustration!

Make no mistake my main holding is Avacta & it might be seen as a cross ramp but no directors here buying £2 million worth of shares! plus the II view on both companies would support just what you say is the point of my post but I’m not urging anyone to BIN Avacta in favour of OXB - I just look at the merits of both companies and wonder why II and the directors haven’t shown anywhere near as much interest in investing in Avacta.

Viking.Raider since you mention shareholder value (which is what interests us all), you might want to compare Avacta to OXB. I hold both of which each have yet to prove they can continue as going concerns due to a lack of profitability. Avacta with its “holy grail” of cancer treatments and which doesn’t seem to have any institutional investors and even has a professional group shorting the stock! While the other Oxford BioDynamics with its EpiSwitch platform has an executive director who has stated they were aware of the “need to demonstrate clear and rapid progress in order to deliver a substantial increase in shareholder value”. OXB also has another director buying over 3 million shares and back in February of this year had our ex PM Rishi visiting and advocating it. At the moment the share price at OXB is holding at above 0.44 but Avacta keeps dropping. I wonder which of these companies (if either) will ultimately prove the more profitable ?

Seems like 44p should be the floor after director Peter Presland purchased 3,398,553 ordinary shares at a price of 0.44p per share. It’s a significant purchase and not just a token effort. Thanks LL. Raise on Nasdaq then? On looking I’ve found that “The Nasdaq rules generally require that companies provide annual and quarterly reports” As this is the first ‘quarterly update’ it and only have cash runway until Jan 2026 strongly indicates we could well be ready to list there.

It’s difficult to get excited as last years presentation already provided proof of the platform working “And so our conclusions from these data, the first, AVA6000, is essentially doing what it was designed to do. It delivers high concentrations of doxorubicin to the tumour microenvironment relative to plasma concentration, and that results in significant anti-tumour activity in those patients whose tumours have high overexpression of FAP”.

CC concluded the exposure response modeling suggests this was, “important for the precision platform as this is the proof of mechanism, of the platform in the clinic.”

I won’t be going to the AGM but I will hope to see a decent RNS on the morning of it to indicate the results of Iain’s review on how to increase shareholder value. The last two RNS were a good start but 🤞 to see a much more significant shift in direction. VGLA.

AGM will be key for me. There is definitely hope because our new Executive Chairman Iain Ross knew what he was taking on, believes that our tests and assets are very valuable and has experience of turning companies around. Iain has said the ‘upside forecast’ didn’t include measures he was considering and that they were “well aware we need to demonstrate clear and rapid progress in order to deliver a SUBSTANTIAL increase in shareholder value”. (I added bold to substantial). He had said he is undertaking a review of urgent need for third party validation and intends to focus more on establishing partnerships and collaborations. His stated remit was to turn the business around. He was also undertaking a review of the operational aspects in order to make it more commercially focused. I expect he will give some indication about this urgent review at the forthcoming AGM on 28 March with any market sensitive data being released via an RNS on the morning of said meeting, (what form that takes will depend on him - restructure partnership selling assets etc GLALTH’s).

If so then that would help if they were thinking of adding to their holding?
