I have considered that view KBYK....it's unnerving to put it mildly. We all know that the market has been wrong on a number of occasions, however, in the long run, the market has normally been proven correct.
It's getting harder to keep the faith given the price action, but hanging in there
I know mate. I remember the 170p non-binding, unsolicited, sprinkled with fairy and angel dust offer only too well....
Even the market didn't buy into it fully, as the price went up to a high of 155 odd from my memory, I might be wrong though
True KBYK. It's just annoying to watch in real-time.
It feels like the "market" (and it's participants) are taunting MM now:
MM: "The LSE is broken, we made a mistake listing here. We may look to leave"
The market "Ok then. Leave"
MM: "I mean it, we are seriously considering it"
The market "Ok then. We'll play with your price a bit to make it easier for you"
MM: "Last chance - we will leave for the US."
The market: "Ok, don't let the door hit you on the way out"
MM: "Nobody wants to list here"
The market: "(tumbleweeds)"
MM: "Everyone is leaving! LSE is a mess"
The market "Are you still here? We'd forgotten about you. Right, let's take a look at your price action...."
hes concerned. has to be. i'm hoping that the reason is because kelso has bee canvassing support from some of the larger shareholders and he has to have enough votes to block any changes. he's not buying for ****s and giggles
The thing is, we've been saying the same thing for a while now, namely that "something has to give." I get it that GS has gone, one of the long term investors (albeit a small one) has expressed agreement with Kelso, the numbers (for once) met expectations but certainly weren't mindblowing. It just feels like groundhog day, the share price steadily trickles down and we keep having the same conversations. I hope that something "big" happens soon, but I feel that it will take a monumental external force to shake up the BOD, i don't feel that the BOD will be personally undertaking any actions to create shareholder value in the short term. And as I type this, the price drops below 66p. Just my opinion
