That's the point OSG - if Apollo went to the lengths of paying heavyweights to help them with whatever DD they were doing, that would imply that they were serious about it. If so, why not come back now when they could put in an offer which would cost them considerably less than before? To me, this makes no sense.

So, again. If Apollo are/were serious, they should be back very shortly. Unless, that is, if they have been having private conversations with MM about funding/buying it after the demerger has completed.

If Apollo came back for Ingenuity now, I would eat my hat.

If they don't, it would prove that their so-called offer wasn't really one in the first place. Tellingly, they have never released a statement (apart from the one that said they would no longer be pursuing THG) after MM's insane "no thanks" LinkedIn post where he intimated that Apollo valued Ingenuity at more than THG's current share price (c65p). It makes no sense as to why they would not come back when the price is on the floor at 40 odd pence per share, as they could at least release the full details of an offer for wider shareholders to consider. If they weren't serious in the first place, then it was just a costly fishing exercise, but no doubt one that they could easily afford.

Shabz - I know that THG are an utter joke when it comes to communications and yes, early Nov to most people would mean within the first week or so. But hey, we are where we are. EOW can't come quick enough....

Agree KBYK, if it is released by COB Thursday 14th, we'd still be technically within the first half of the month so this could loosely translate to "early November" as per the RNS. Anytime after that is frankly not good enough, unless they RNS a potential bid by outside parties.

OSG - because no-one else (at present) appears to be interested and thus cannot challenge the status quo of THG's BOD. If Apollo was that excited about ingenuity, they would have put out a public bid this time, naming all of their conditions for shareholders to consider. The fact that they are not (or haven't yet) is really telling. A bit like all of the so-called "undisclosed offers" that Nutrition has received over the last couple of years that MM has previously alluded to - where is the actual evidence?

It's remarkable really. THG gave next to no time for PI's to digest the news about the fundraise for Ingenuity demerger and now are leaving PI's in the dark about when the circular will drop. Make no mistake, a significant portion of the so-called 65% will already know the timeline.

Agreed. Everything THG does seems to be a knee-jerk reaction or unexplainably delayed. Proactiveness is certainly not their strength.

I think I posted this before, it appears to me the reason for THG not giving a fixed date for the circular was because it was a WIP and they were trying to gauge institutional interest. No new TR1s or changes to additions to large holdings tells you everything. It's one thing to have a high-level plan, it's another to have an actual plan that will be delivered.

Well, at the minimum it would need to be in the ballpark of what Apollo previously offered. Esp given that Ingenuity's "performance" has improved since the so-called offer came in.

It's super disappointing whichever way we slice and dice it.

But hey, he never put a gun to our heads and all that. Lesson learned for next time to carefully vet the credentials of the BOD as opposed to just relying on unwavering belief that the SOTP valuation makes no sense. I still believe that the valuation makes no sense, but at this stage, it will take an act of god or the whole of the BOD to resign to move this share price in the right direction.

And yes before anyone say's it - I know - "wait for the circular"

I can't quite believe that 3 businesses are currently valued at the princely sum of 43p per share.

As of yet...no new institutional shareholders or TR1s.

Old Peel Hunt have even gone quiet.

THG (and particularly MM and his cronies) have absolutely no credibility in the marketplace.

I know people will say "wait for the circular" but should it really be taking this long? it really does look like every decision MM makes is a last-minute one.

We won't have to wait long until we hear something from BOD which goes down this path, at which you would be perfectly right to say so.

Interesting action so far, 1m and 500k share sell gone through. Wonder if MW/Qube or others are doubling down on their positions or otherwise.

Agree...it's a very odd time for him to talk about "succeeding" in the business world when his company's share price is down over 90%.

Then again, the woke world that we live in are probably applauding him for "sticking it to then man." I bet they're not shareholders....
