Ste. Whenever the price drops, you're like a cat whose got the cream. I've never seen a "shareholder" react so vociferously to a tiny price movement after barely 1-2 trades on open. It's almost as if you want it to drop. I don't have a problem with that per se, we're all grown ups here, but your constant negative diatribe demonstrates how disingenuous you are.
We all understand that THG is a bit of a mess. The revenue misses, lack of engagement with the city and proper governance, stupid linkedIn posts as well as inept BOD. That's the reason why the price is where it is and why investors see a potential opportunity, as some of these can be fixed reasonably easily. Whether they will actually be fixed is another question altogether.
Anyway, if a dropping share price is how you get your kicks, good for you.
Dunno Steve. A lot of stocks have taken a bit of a battering today (ASC got hammered), my gut feel is that it's not THG specific. Guess we will find out if it's an actual downtrend over the next few days.
Could well be the start of a selloff prior to results, we'll find out soon enough.
Nope. I just don't overreact because:
a) I'm not leveraged
b) day to day movements can be misleading
c) I believe that company can perform well in medium term AS LONG as the BOD get their act together.
Dear dear dear Ste. You must have lost an absolute boatload on money on THG to be providing minute-by-minute commentary here. We were at 56p a week ago, so (shrugs shoulders) the price movements today aren't going to scare most investors into selling. It's not ideal, sure, but it's not the only stock which is taking a beating today.
Agree - i questioned the timing of the report as well as MM's subsequent LinkedIn post. THG (unfortunately) has previous form of making "positive" announcements in the run up to what end up as questionable results. I don't believe the update will be particularly great, however, this will hopefully get better in the medium-long term.
I think I mentioned it previously, but I don't believe MM is under any real pressure from KLSO or other larger shareholders. He's still firmly in control and will steer the ship as he sees fit. Of course, if he does announce a partnership or significant transaction for one of the divisions, it will obviously endear him to the wider shareholder base.
So now we have 2 brokers (Liberium and PH) who are waxing lyrical about THG being undervalued. I just hope THG don't rest on their laurels now, they need to continue to go an investor offensive. A a good set of results would be a decent start.
That said, I do find the timing somewhat curious though, given that results are due to be announced in the next few weeks
