Oculus...I would add that the latest Jefferies note mentions that "THG’s nutrition wing is poised for a more challenging start to the year"
So, whilst the others are performing as expected (i.e. very averagely or losing money) the "jewel in the crown" may not be.
I get it - genuinely. most of us are in the same boat here!
I was going to say that there's no point in constantly moaning on the BB, but hey, who am I to speak?
If it makes you feel better, vent away fella.
57 looks likely. You have to laugh really, the whole thing is an absolute disaster. Every time THG issue a RNS the price drops like a stone. Then it drops even more when MM does a LinkedIn post.
Very odd trading this morning. I know that volume is always low with THG, but it feels as if the market doesn't want to make a call either way this morning. I'm sure one decent sized trade will change all that though...
Well, let's hope that this resignation is a positive..i.e that he was encouraged to resign as opposed to being pushed out. At least this may potentially show that THG are now being a little more cut-throat with their leaders in terms of delivery of targets.
If it's the other way round....well....let's just say that it doesn't look good. Then again, Ingenuity has hardly covered itself in glory since the outset.
Here's the problem with Iain Mac
Either his bid was used as a stalking horse (i.e. a fake bid) or it was a genuine bid which (as per MM) "materially undervalued the company." For me, his position with the firm was untenable from this point onwards.
My gut feel is that his bid was used a stalking horse, as this would explain why MM is desperate to back him and not throw him down the river
I dont think thats true YesIm - it wasn't just PIs selling out when the Ian Mac RNS was announced. The market didnt like it all, and I don't blame them given the shenanigans associated with him since the Belerion bid.
Agree that Kelso is minor noise though
I share your pain PMH. It's unnerving to see a comical drop almost every single day.
Either way, we're at the mercy of MM. He'll either deliver or not.
I wouldn't read too much into Kelso tbh. Yeah, he had to fork out some money to put them back in their box, but is was akin to swatting a fly as opposed to being under genuine pressure/threatened to make changes.
