YIAB - I think that's the point that YSB is making. No offers in excess of £1.70 were formally announced by either the target (THG) or the bidder. All other so-called offers have been communicated in whispers/rumours. Just because OVMH may have alluded to it, does not mean it's actually true as they could just talking from the perspective of their own book/position.

Like a few of there others here, I think this is good news.

Focusing on profits, cutting fixed costs and operational streamlining are all positive steps to take.

Let's just hope that this feeds into the share price sooner rather than later.

For the results to look "great" we'll either need a game changer in the short term (unlikely) or a good few years of growth (which will be challenging). It's not impossible, but it will take a significant change in attitude from the BOD - that's the bit which is hard to to believe

I think this says it all really.

The company is in better shape than 2 years ago and so is the macro. Yes, THG's financials and general communications still have a reasonable degree of opacity, but on the whole, the company is performing better.

Problem is, no-one and I mean NO-ONE from the investing community cares.

Have THG been on a charm offensive to woo the investing community? No.

Have THG's results SUBSTANTIALLY improved to warrant positive attention? No

That's the million dollar (or 62p) question Cong. I doubt that they got much for it, as they would have otherwise proudly announced this as part of the AGM RNS.

I would rather that they announced it either way, as it at least shows a decent degree of transparency that has been generally lacking.

Of course they take a while, but that's the problem when you operate with a high degree of opacity - investors become disillusioned and lose patience. Hence the current valuation gap.

The time for "talking" has long gone and let's be honest, it's not as if the smaller investors have been kept in the loop in the same way that the larger ones have. It's action that's required now, hitting guidance alone is nowhere near enough.
