Crafty - I don't think they had an advantage per se. I believe (for what its worth) that they saw THG as a takeover target and hoped to make a quick buck. To be fair, a decent proportion of this BB believes the same and has invested on this thesis. It's certainly not wrong and SOTP valuation supports this.
Once they realised that this wasn't going to be straightforward, they began chiming in about strategy, Listing status, chairman etc. The question that has always dogged KLSO is whether they are powerful enough (or powerless) they are to make a difference. I know that people will pipe up and say that MM buying KLSO shares is a sign of their influence, but I still liken this to the analogy of swatting away flies. The amount of money he has to pay to buy a stake is pretty painless for him.
Whilst I firmly believe that the AGM will be a non-event, it would be nice to be proven wrong
