Looking into the webinar presenters on the 21st and the supporting companies I do not think this will detail anything commercial and will probably just be a high-level overview of the testing solution, how to use the test and trace app and the test development.
The twitter banner has a misspelling and it is actually Paul Docherty as Business Development Director, Yourgene Health. Both him and Bhavika Patel, Director of Genomics, Yourgene Health, are Ex5 Genomics employees, whom were purchased by Yourgene Health in July. So there maybe some interesting narrative of the Clarigene Covid test development and assay development. I suspect that as Ex5 employees are presenting this their workflow automation is being used in the Clarigene test.
Working through the list Clive Minihan, as the Director of Recova (founded in May 2020) runs a n app which is similar to the immunity passport app Prova. So I suspect it is more of a sales event to highlight the test, workflow , test and trace app as well as the training support provided by Steve Dollard, Operations Director, MediSkills.
Nothing bad but not what we were hoping for hence probably not circulated via Walbrooke as not commercially relevant. If so, why put Ex5 Genomics employees there to present.
The Recova dimension is interesting as though the employees are limited they are well placed. So one of the Directors, Anthony Cook, is the Chief Executive Officer at Cambridge Clinical Laboratories. The Chair, Steve Smith, is also Chair of one of the UK's larger hospitals, East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust. So it would stand to reason that Recova, and in turn YourGene Health's Clarigene test, have a presence in these institutions.
For those investors (especially LTHs) who've hung on for the last 6 months the lack of anticipation to the long awaited commercial update is a concern but hopefully it is misplaced and will be rewarded in short term alongside Align research's report. How Tottenham was able to borrow £175m from the Government’s coronavirus loan scheme to thereafter spend £240k a week on Bale is however not a circle that I can square.
