So glad that Schroders locked into paying a high and inflated price for that part of the business it purchased. Shame the rump wasn’t sold for cash but instead handed to AssetCo in return for ropey paper. Ho hum.

Things can go lower yet. The withdrawal of easy money could take a while to play out. We’ll get rallies along the way, but this is a big unwind.

It’s all going through. You’ll get a bit of cash for part of your shares and a handful of AssetCo shares for the rest. Ridiculously complicated deal that takes care of the old and new management first and foremost, throws a few coins at shareholders and the remaining staff in a state of limbo. An awful, self-serving set of transactions…

Given it's a Friday, I am keenly anticipating liberal use of the phrase "wouldn't want to be out of this over the weekend". Come on, don't disappoint. "300, then 340", "every sale is being bought" (just on the latter, it wouldn't be a sale if it hadn't been bought so I am not sure what the point is). Can somebody enlighten me? "MMs are short of stock" (well who on earth do you think is buying up the sales?). So entertaining.

They haven’t confirmed they will undertake buybacks, even if permission granted, nor denied paying any additional dividends. We just have to see how things pan out.
