Valirx appointed them as joint brokers less than a fortnight ago. Might be a bit of reputational damage - it will be interesting to see if they stay with Novum or look for another joint broker.

It will also be interesting to see what the FCA have to say about what is alleged to have happened in the morning.

I found the statement 'building a global network of specialists' in the last accounts (page 20) most interesting. Someone will become the Uber of teleradiology - the drop in the value of the £ should help them expand out of the UK. The global market for their services is likely to increase as G5 starts providing faster connections to mankind.

I have been considering buying into Oxford BioMedica (OXB) and Medica Group (MGP) for a few months. They both have a tiny dividend yield but seem to have great prospects.

Anybody have any thoughts on either company - timing is everything with bio shares.

I also hope that I am wrong - if so it will not make a great advert for the new Boris low tax, low regulation economy. Throw in some Trump tariffs and things can get messy.

Valirx announced on the 23rd of July 'the appointment of SVS Securities PLC as the Company's joint broker.'

There have been rumours throughout the day that they [SVS] have been shut down. If this is actually correct then the judgement of the BOD will be called into question again after the EHGO transaction.

'Multiple sources confirmed this morning that SVS Securities has been shut down. Staff members were sent home early this morning and the company was not allowed to engage in any market activity at the open. Apparently, an administrator has been appointed and a statement is expected on Monday.'

I have tried logging into an imaginary SVS account and the browser just hangs - I have no idea what is going on but it is certainly worth bearing in mind over the next few days.

My blue chips are down 2 percent and my emerging markets funds a similar amount. I don't mind speculative AIM shares bouncing around (especially when they offer a trading opportunity) but losing money because someone wants to escalate a trade war for political gain annoys me.

And then we have Boris driving the bus at full speed towards a cliff.
