Following the advice of the CSO & CMO is sound. The stated intention is to delay and flatten / spread the peak to allow the system more of a chance to deal with people who become severely ill.

My main gripe is apparently allowing the Behavioural Insights Team to influence the decision to allow the Cheltenham Festival to go ahead may spread the Virus to more locations which would be against the stated intention of flattening / spreading the peak.

Certainly not, I have little respect for Trump and the steps he has taken so far. His mistakes to date have been well documented. This morning he tried to blame Obama and the CDC.

However, I do think that allowing the Cheltenham Festival to go ahead was part of the plan to develop herd immunity and may prove to be a reckless decision in time [and if it does those who made the decision will not be held to account for their arrogance].

1 - The voters did not vote for Domminic Cummings and the Behavioural Insights Team.

2 - There are over 300 COVID mutations to date. Assuming that herd immunity will work against a novel and mutating RNA virus is just an assumption.

We are being used as a petri-dish test by people who think they know more than us [but have no proof that they are correct]. If it turns out they are overestimating their knowledge they may be making the problem far worse. The links below will be of interest:

Please read the RNS - short selling has not been banned. There is a 'TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF SHORT SELLING' on certain instruments ['Please see Annex 1 below for the instruments concerned']. As an aside, you will not be able to short sell TRX without prohibitive terms as the market knows that the business needs refinancing and there is still a potentially distressed major shareholder who may offload their shares.

You need to think about the stresses that the shutdown in travel has caused; no need to call 999. Rather wait for 1.11p and then call the non-emergency number (111).

Ocado only have limited capacity. I use them for my groceries - I made an order yesterday and the first slot I could book was Monday afternoon. They also no longer allow the drivers to bring the shopping into the Customers property as they are so concerned about their staff and customers contaminating each other. However, the average order is up over 100% according to feedback from the drivers.

If you were to try and make a large buy or sell (say £30k) you will find the spread will get closer to what is shown on this site. I doubt anyone could sell £50k's worth at the prevailing Bid.

Your time may be better spent stocking up your COVID Prepper cupboard. There is the COBRA meeting later - who knows what Boris is going to announce but we are close to drastic measures. I now need to order Groceries at least 5 days in advance if I want them delivered and the Ocado delivery drivers are now longer allowed to enter apartments / houses as they are so concerned about their staff becoming infected.

The demise of Valirx is nothing compared to the effects of this Virus; a world-wide market meltdown...

All that is left is helicopter money - which was effectively announced in the Budget yesterday.
