Take care and keep healthy. I had an Ocado delivery this afternoon - they are not allowed to bring the shopping into Customers houses anymore because of the COVID risks. A good thing - I rely on my shopping deliveries and would hate to see the drivers get ill doing their work.

When I logged into a Tiley Account today I was met with the message below:

'Markets are currently experiencing unusually high share dealing volumes. During this period price quotes may expire early. To avoid this issue you should accept quotes several seconds before the quote countdown expires. When purchasing shares please do so in units rather than selecting a cash value.'

The volatility of the market and the volume of shares being traded has been causing network errors with some brokers. The JSE back-end has also been suffering performance issues as far as I am aware.

You may have noticed the Bloomberg link I put up about the potential use of Zinc in storage batteries. I emailed the link to JV and he replied 'I did see the article and shared it with some colleagues'. Good to see the concept mentioned in today's interview (I think that the advances in using Zinc in batteries may be part of why Bushveld Minerals' share price has collapsed over the last year).

There have been a few cash shells recently where the punters thought they were going to magically earn fortunes with a RTO (yeah right - someone's going to give you money) that have had higher administrative costs than MAFL incur & MAFL are actually progressing a project and have a number of other positions, a growing NAV and are trading at a discount to their conservative valuations.

When I liquidated my direct shareholdings in January (COVID fears) this is the only share I retained. There appears to be great long term potential here. And an AIM share free of deluded rampers...

TILS is due to delist from AIM and there are plies of warrants and a convertible loan to clear - dangerous.

I find it hard to admit it but not having to pay into the EU Budget (one of the Brexit prizes) after leaving the EU now appears to be a better trade off than staying part of the EU.

The Italian Banking System is going into meltdown and will inevitably end up effecting the entire EU banking system. The next few months could end up being 'difficult'. And they will want to lose the support of the City of London? Unlikely now.

A pandemic and its economic consequences was a not a factor I considered when thinking about Brexit.

Yup, and Boris and Matt Han**** have decided they will not self isolate as they think they did not spend enough time close to her to have picked it up. What example is that to us mere citizens. Thankfully I retired early and can (hopefully) ride out the storm away from idiots.

US futures are already down - watch out for another major sell off tomorrow. Cash is king and those who have not cashed out may start getting very nervous.

I understand that UKOG have been growing their assets but this does not make sense:

In Sept 2017 the mcap was £317m (3.5 billion shares at 9p a share); In March 2020 the mcap is £37m (7.5 billion shares at 0.5p). So after building the assets the company is worth only 12% of its previous peak.

Is my maths wrong?

And it looks like the coronary problems are contagious - Finbar looks like being possibly suspended in the morning. What a bleak week for investors and it is only Tuesday.

I fear for the health of the gamblers who thought Muddy Waters were wrong about NMC - undisclosed borrowings of $2.7B have been discovered (so far). They appear to be facing a total wipeout.
