'In Cape Town, 3,700 blood samples were tested from the end of July to the beginning of August from women attending public antenatal clinics and people with HIV attending their public clinics. The researchers found that in this sample 37% of people had Covid-19 antibodies present.'
More and more evidence is coming out that Covid-19 is far more infectious than thought and that far more people have been asymptomatic; hopefully the feared winter double hit of flu and Covid-19 will not materialise. Whilst there is evidence of people being re-infected (the genome of the infections have not been the same so it has not been a lingering infection), the reinfections have mainly been mild or asymptomatic.
Seems good news to me.
