I would be getting excited if a traded food commodity contracts but profiting from food shortages would play nasty games inside my head.

Doris chooses which scientists he listens to as it suits him. By doubling the time he gets to be able to say that double the amount of people have been vaccinated. It may be true, but the real question is how many people have been vaccinated and protected.

A bigger scandal may be that the GOV may be wasting vaccines by not using the dosage regime that the manufacturers say to use. By being a rich country the UK has been able to secure more vaccines than it needs. It seems to be squandering them. Following the suggested dosage regime may mean that more doses are required; the more we use the less there are available for poorer countries.

So as the UK goes out to forge new trade deals it may be accused of callously wasting precious vials of vaccines that would have saved lives in the 3rd world. Our potential new partners get to see the true colours of Doris and his TEN friends. Why should they trust them to honour deals they seek to sign when it was Doris and his TEN friends who legislated to break international law?

If the Nissan news was good news for UK Plc you would have expected bank shares to have risen; instead they are down and the drop will be partly down to the border frictions becoming clearer.

I doubt bank shareholders share your enthusiasm today.

Another body blow to UK retail and the banks that have extended them loans. GOV will not be able to spin the lie of the success of no queues at the border for much longer when the public realise that there are no queues because there is so little traffic.

Well that is the Daily Mail headline; there have been more negative reviews left on Trustpilot this morning since I sold my shares. This is a growing problem so watch out for any business that has EU exposure [other than miners how do you avoid them?].

The shares were in my SIPP - that account is risk-averse, so I have sold. I do not normally make trades early in the morning but 2 bad reviews about non-delivery had already been left this morning. It takes time to build a reputation and minutes to lose it.
