When SYME first changed their accounting date I made a comment about it being a risk factor in modelling tax compliance used by HMRC; now they have done it again. That would have triggered an automatic review as it is so unusual.

And the company seems ridiculously overvalued, A bit like the comment Kenny made about share gamblers. Many on that board seem to think they have identified a Unicorn in the making. Might be one to trade after a crash as there will be many who would blindly average down - admitting you have made a terrible mistake is too hard for some.

The boom in soybeans is why I am so optimistic on PHC [interims next Monday which will give a progress sign, food is also a commodity...]

My take is that a combination of free / cheap trading (and a lack of understanding of other market makers' prices); historically low and potentially negative interest rates; a bull market that is chucking out winners regularly; tax law liberalisation; and people spending time at home giving them more opportunity to chase moving markets have all come together to significantly overvalue many stocks. Greed is only good in a rising market.

A correction seems overdue to me; the market is not listening yet but something is going to shock the markets and a sudden re-rate may catch many off guard.

Commission free? That normally means a poor price? Who are you using and are you checking the prices on offer with a second or third broker?

The only person who ever gave me a free lunch expected me to eat at whilst working.

So the CONservatives stop paying for old folks TV licences and tell the BBC that they can only increase the licence costs by inflation, keep services the same etc. Now the BBC must be reformed because service quality has gone down, and they are being unfair to old people.

That is a bit like the GOV fining you because you opened your front door during Covid because they knocked on it. If only the BBC was nicer to GOV, maybe like in Turkey, Russia or Uganda?
