The GM seeking authority to issue more shares is on Thursday the 13th of Jan. A 'mid-Jan' placing would be just a few days after they get authority, and the process would surely have had to start even before authority to issue more shares was in place.

If they are that desperate, shareholders are in for a desperate time, especially if rumours start and spivs want their cut. cuddo's comment about 0.7p getting broken may well be true; but in the wrong direction.
