I do not believe what they say, let alone what they leak to the media. $unak will decide if he has to cut taxes to placate the Farage-Fringe of the CONservatives. The guests on the Sunday political shows will be revealing, especially those unfortunate enough to have to go out and defend the election disasters.

Trying to claim that by-elections always result in 'midterm' blips when you are close to the end of the Parliament is not sustainable.

$unak is desperate... And the 'Night of the Long Knives' has not even begun; the party is going to implode as various factions jostle to take over from him. The only glue he has to keep his party together until the GE is unaffordable tax cuts. Party over Country... which makes sense if you are Richi and are planning on going back to California after losing the lection.

Most of the weapons sold / supplied by the US to Ukraine were obsolete and due to be scrapped. Instead of scrapping them the US is due to eventually get paid for them and at the same time degrading the capabilities of its strategic enemies [China and North Korea are depleting their capabilities to supply Ruzzia].

Things are more complicated than they first look; the US / The West are getting a bargain to have the capabilities of adversaries depleted whilst the capabilities of enemies weapon systems are battle tested for them to view and plan countermeasures against... All without spilling any of their own blood and getting the political cover to ramp up defence spending.

Of course other countries were effected; that is why the comparative 5% drop in GDP is from comparing the UK economy with other who also went through Covid. Surely you know that?

As for 'blind hatred of Brexit' the other side of the argument is why do you have such blind faith in a failing project? As an investor in a bank surely you do not want to see the economy that it relies on intentionally damaged by political zealots?

If the economy was 5% bigger would it be in recession?

Just asking for a friend who did not vote for Brexit and who thinks that LLOY shares will be negatively effected by a recession thanks to mounting bad debt.
