When you disregard the shorts, the panicking shareholders, the credit insurance questions, questions over further dividends, as well as the debt degrade by Moody's from B1 to B2 all that matters is the footfall and associated spend. It is 3 and 1/2 weeks until the clocks go back (28 October) and the MET's long term forecast is below.
The clocks going back combined with poor weather could quickly snowball if our politicians continue to dither.
UK Outlook for Friday 19 Oct 2018 to Friday 2 Nov 2018: The beginning of this period is likely to be fairly unsettled with wet and windy weather affecting many areas, especially so across the west and northwest. However, there is an increasing chance that many could turn more settled towards the end of October as high pressure re-establishes. This will bring lighter winds, with some sunshine by day but some cold nights with frost and fog. As we head towards the start of November, confidence is very low but there are signs it may turn more unsettled again. Temperatures will probably be close to normal overall, but in more settled weather it is likely to be colder than average, especially overnight.
