Managent need quick money to keep it afloat until first trial results will come out. An institutional investor will have done enough DD to ensure it is worth it. As much as I’m gutted I still have hope this will come good. We will know soon anyway. We have seen worse with other biotechs been taken private at this stage of trials and squeeze PI’s out completely. At least we still have a chance..

The only silver lining about this is that there’s still someone willing to throw 0.7m at the company. That’s takes quite some courage seen the business acumen demonstrated by management. We can only keep fingers crossed and hope that they have been lured in with great promises. Gla

10 am is usually the best slot at any conference. Could some sort of deal have been done in which Leerink was involved and then suggested to come and present it at their conference. That could explain the last-minute participation. Just some food for thought

It is indeed not unusual for a new CFO (or indeed CEO) to make accruals for every risk under the sun on arrival so that they can collect all the praise (and bonuses) in y2.

Or is there something more sinister behind BP’s absence: if successful, Avacta would deprive them from more lucrative longterm treatment sales hence they would like to see the company fail before trials have concluded. Just an idea

What we can see in the 5y sp chart is that this is the longest period of steady decline (since mid July 24)

That said, the volume of trading is absolutely minimal. 0.05% sells over the day and shareprice drops by 8%. It just doesn’t make sense.. lost for words
