Maybe we should organise ourselves to put some pressure..
Does anybody know what the process is for ex shareholders? Got a certificate from my bank for my holding, contacted TNT and their brokers but no response. Reading below I understand there could be a window to offload the shares. Any quick direction would be most welcome.
Review in The Times this morning. Finally some positive energy.
Totally opaque and pointless. Have been in here for 2 years and seen this decline week after week, month after month. This us a cynical abuse of investors and there’s no other intention than to suck all the money out of them it seems.
“Should I stay or should I go”
Oh no, that was The Clash…
This is a replay of Feb/Mar 22 although in a very different context. We dropped to 44p but by April that year we climbed to 1.40+ and since Avacta has made huge progress on its trials. Complete faith but yes, it hurts..
Tmrw is another day. GLALTH
Thanks, at least I timed my question well
Is there ever anything happening in this company? Have a big holding here but in the doldrums for ages now. Big dividends don’t make up for it and do not reassure..
It was not so much about getting an appointment with AS for LSE punters but about the influence of these BB’s on trading/mood in general because of a much higher proportion of shareholders. For example AZ has hundreds of thousands if not millions of shareholders yet hardly any activity on any board, whereas AVCT probably has 000’s or maybe 0000’s but not more, yet very high engagement on BB’s and social media with probably a big proportion of (passive) readers.
Just my 2 cents worth..
Thanks all for your responses. On point 1 I would add though that no Company or CEO would engage to such extend if the shareholders’ representation was insignificant and that smaller companies are disproportionally represented on these BB’s if you compare the number of posts, hence readers, on small companies with those on much much bigger ones.
I have been an LTH who’s gone through the ups and downs for 3 years and have now build up a (for me) considerable holding. I have been following this BB for 2 years but never felt the need to contribute a part from a post last year when a big RNS coincided with the day I had my first “positive” PSA test for what turned out to be PC which has since been removed. There are 2 points that puzzle me for some time:
1) Many times it has been stated that this BB does not influence the SP. Yet, 350 shareholders on TG allegedly managed to get a meeting with AS, mainly because they represented a substantial holding of 16%. Is it therefore silly to believe that LSE members are detaining a number of similar scale?
2) the various cohorts have seen tens of patients being treated in a number of hospitals both in the UK and US. How can the nature of the treatment be kept confidential when hundreds if not thousands of medical staff and family members are interacting with these patients? They must know that something’s going on and It is unlikely that they all are bound by strict NDA’s. Does anybody on this BB know how the secrecy is kept?
GLA and Merry Xmas. 2024 should be THE year.
There was a “buy” recommendation in the Times business pages a couple of weeks ago..
