I think combined hedges for gas are 25% production though and oil is 20% hedged production . Need $40boe to break even across gas and oil.This is going by the investor presentation regarding the new HBR

Spawny. Take a look at the investor presentation. The whole deal makes loads of sense and is easily manageable. As long as gas and oil prices remain reasonably priced then the sp will be supported. Eventually.

Well here comes a dreamer.

Thing is aswell , oil dropped 8% last week to a 52 week low , now surely there's only little room for further decline and its in Opec's interests to support that (aswell as the US of course , they also do not produce for nothing) . As far as im aware the new HBR's hedging is protecting finances and the reserves for both gas and oil are 8 years minimum with plenty of projects in the pipeline to increase further more !

Well this could be the bottom , that massive volume of shares was traded at 271p not long after the deal was announced and then the sp shot up to 330p so I gather this is where the decline will stop and then the accumulation of shares will begin again. I hope so anyway.

You have to remember basf will be looking to exit at a good price so I can't see any rushed selling from them.

The way I see the new harbour is that the UK assets are just a financial backbone which are effectively free, and then the wintershall assets show unlimited potential for growth across the world , now the new hbr can forget investing in the UK and move to more stable attractive regimes in Asia , Egypt and Mexico where governments are clearly working with the industry to make things work , unlike here ! Again very little debt , cheap financing aswell as investment grade credit rating will be very attractive to new investment.

Well supposedly we got a bargain as a deal was struck with HBR worth 360p , so therefor it gives us a shareholders a big advantage going forward, the increased dividend will attract more buyers too so I'm expecting the sp to rise slowly , the fact oil has tanked to new lows the SP here has remained pretty stable ! When new bank ratings start to flow in again the sp will move higher !

Thing is surely the government have to justify these tax levels. All I can think is that in the budget there will be crazy government subsidies for carbon capture , after all they have announced £20billion in investment so it's about time we saw that !
