I would like to think that all bad news has been built in the share price, but in today's uncertain market who knows. If S4 can report expected results and any up turn in guidance would be most welcome, we may well see a relief rally. Fingers crossed.

Is Drahi referring to BT generating interest ie dividend income, or party showing interest in acquiring his BT shareholding?

I think that we can rule Drahi out of making a bid with him currently struggling to finance $60 billion of debt.

Today's volume of shares traded in BT 34m. Daily average is 23m.

While I don't think a bid will be made, you would expect a bid price to be a lot higher that 187p per share when you look at what Openreach is potentially worth up to £40BLN.

I think that its unlikely that we will be visiting 110p again, never say never, but its unlikely likely in the near term. I too was you could say being greedy waiting for closer 100p before topping up, it just goes to show you can never second guess the market.

Rod, I am well diversified. I do believe that BT share price will recover to a price that I would be happy to sell at, but unfortunately its unlikely to be the result of any takeover bid, if a bid was going to happen it would have happened in the summer, but I think that you already know that. Time would certainly be against a bid now with the general election planned for next year. I also fear that Labour will be the next government, god help us. The FTTP rollout should bear fruit but its going to take a few years waiting. I'm considering adding to my BT holding to reduce my average purchase price if the share price continues towards 100p.

I hope that you're both proved to be right. I would prefer a bid, jam today, than jam tomorrow that would probably result in waiting at least a further 3-5 years for a recover in the share price. I could be 6ft under by then. But it is what it is, I don't see a bid happening. GL.

Drahi won't be making a takeover bid for BT, he has too much debt. The only possibility of a bid would be from Deutsche Telekom, and to date they have shown no interest, they've not even increased their BT shareholding. I gave up waiting for a bid months ago. BT shareholders are going to have to be patient and wait for the FTTP to be completed before we see any potential recovery in the share price. IMHO.

Well these experts (institutional investors) have plenty of skin in the S4 game, they have never been as bullish on S4 Capital as they currently are. The graph doesn't lie, it clearly indicates this. I wonder what privileged information they have, if any?

On the other hand, pulling in £30k dividends per year is impressive by any standards, and I would expect it won't be long before Fleccy brings down his average breakeven price. Nice position to be in to be fair in a current terrible market. When the market changes, and share prices recover, Fleccy and his good lady will be laughing.
