Once again, yes I agree, I'm not counting on a dividend just pointing out that BT have already stated that they intend restarting the full year dividend @7.7p in 2021/22, so all being well a dividend payment should be in February 2022 if BT keep to their word. I have no reason to doubt their word.

Agreed Toff. I also think that fundamentals have been thrown through the window in the UK stock market right now. BT have a P/E of only 5.85, that will be paying a yield of 7.7% in 2021/22 and will grow in the future years once fibre is built. BT is a bargain for anyone not in any rush for a return, 3-5 years should see a very good return. Mrs. Jones should take note. JMO, DYOR.

Fleccy, UK Secretary of State for Health and Social Care Matt Han**** has said that the law could be changed to fast track a vaccine before Christmas. You may well recall that the Oxford vaccine is at phase 3 with current clinical trials expected news by November. This could be a game changer.

This was more than enough for investors – so much so, in fact, that it meant they could ignore the US saying it won’t join in with the global, WHO-backed effort to develop and distribute a vaccine.

I would also advise transferring it into an ISA shares account, then you won't pay any CGT on future gains. GL

Toff, I think a lowball offer of £15B has next to no chance of being successful, double that offer may get the interest required, but for me that is looking unlikely to say the least.

Toff, what do you think of the valid argument that it doesn't matter what price the BT share price falls to, the BT BOD won't entertain a lowball offer. So the asset value sharks would be wasting their time manipulating a lower share price, they're not fools, far from it.

I think fair value at this moment in time would be around 300p per share.

Let the rumor bid leak out and when no bid is forthcoming the share price tanks.

That’s Vulture fund psychology in play. They’re not about to oblige us by bidding now and propping up the SP.
Conversely, they’re using the rumored bid to drive the SP down even further. Disillusionment drives asset values down.

Yes I take your point Toff, and you may well be right, but why did you jump back on board BT if you thought the above? Didn't you think this a week ago, before you bought back in? Or was you expecting a big jump in the share price? With the greatest respect Toff, it's easy to talk a good game after the event.

I think in hindsight it was a bad decision cancelling the ADR trading in the USA. I wish that someone would make a bid if it's only to stop the share price decline, and give some confidence to the market otherwise who knows how low BT could go.

I think what the problem is with the Google price is that its picked up a after hours trade at 17:41pm with a trade going through at 106.996p. Ignore this price, always look at the UT at 16:35pm for the closing share price.

ITV are still the same company that they were on Friday. Shafted again by the MM's.

Good idea Simon, that might be the only way that we get a re-rating of the share price, apart from a takeover bid.

I think that you're right Rich, management I believe won't let ITV go for anything less than 192p.

Analysts recently have said that at less than 192p a share, there would be asset strippers or a management buyout, in other words a bidding war.

I think that you're right Toff, I know that today's buy volume of 36M will be distorted taking in to account the UT's that will have been reported as buys. However, I think that we can say comfortably say that there are more buy volume of shares traded today than sells, yet the corrupt market moves the share price down. Something should be looked in to this blatant action by the MM's.

Buys 36M Sells 7M. share price down 2.82%. The worlds gone mad.

I'm also determined to see this through Fleccy. The market can do it's worst, and it probably is trying that right now. Rightly of wrongly I will still be here until I have no choice ie. a takeover, or until the share price recovers to what I'm happy to take a profit with. Time will tell who is right, myself or the market. I'm confident that once fibre build is over half way, the market will change it's opinion on BT.
