Fleccy, I was hopeful of a vaccine before Christmas, but after reading the above the results from the phase 3 Oxford trials won't be known until 5th March 2021. It would seem like the goal post's keep moving forever backwards. Then we have Trump who want's a vaccine to start on Nov 1st to coincide with the USA election. I can see the virus will have almost run its course, before we have a vaccine at this rate.

I don't know what caused the 0.66p drop at the closing auction? Over the pond the ADR's are still up 3.47%.
Onwards and upwards next week, I think that we may test 70p.

What happens if they were to bid 170p per share, the bid gets turned down, the share price then goes above 170p to 200p? Do the PE bidders walk away? The PE bidders may already have a buyer lined up for Openreach who may be willing to pay £15B, this would free up a higher bid.

Hi Richard, I've seen reports that value Openreach alone at £14B to today's article valuation of £26B. A bid of only £15B would be laughed at mate. At £30B someone would be getting a good deal. JMO.

BKB, I'm not expecting a bid of 471p mate. I would be delighted with a bid of 300p per share. I would think that most BT shareholders would be happy with a bid of 300p, but would management and large shareholders? I don't think that they would.

Fair point Toff. However, DT intentions were I'm sure to make a good profit with it's large 12% holding. Yes you're quite right that DT have picked up dividends, but they will be well underwater at 300p I would think by at least 100p per share.

I agree Aus, DT aren't going to be very happy with any offer less than what they paid 471p. Any potential predator would have to please not only the BT BOD, but also its largest shareholder DT.

Fleccy, that would certainly make good sense getting DT on side with DT being 12% shareholders, this would probably be the way to go in my opinion.

It just goes to show what I know about charts Velo, I too would have thought 110p was resistance level. I too would be pleased with a close of 109p today. It would be nice to close above 113p by the end of the week, or am I being greedy. Lol
