My guess is that you've lost the house on ITV, this would explain why you're so bitter towards ITV and it's CEO. You're to blame, no one else, for your own actions regarding investments Tom. Jed, Tom sold ITV and would like to buy back at 50p, he thinks that all his de ramping will help his cause. Sad I know. Nothing that anyone says on a discussion board will make any difference to the share price movements one way or the other. If ITV are such a bad investment why does he want to buyback his ITV shares? In a note on Monday, Barclays upped its target price for ITV to 80p from 75p and retained their ‘equal weight’ rating as they issued forecasts for the broadcaster’s third quarter trading update, which is due on November 12.

The bank said it expected ITV to report a 13% decline in revenues for the three month period, comprising of a 10.5% fall in advertising revenue as well as a 22.5% decline in revenues from its content production arm, ITV Studios. Barclays added that they expected investors to focus on the outlook for the fourth quarter, given it is the “largest quarter” with large amounts of advertising during the festive period.

Yes indeed, my mistake H1 results. So regarding the pension deficit we are at the mercy of the press with their anti BT reporting regarding the deficit for at least the next 6 months.

Hi Fleccy, I'm looking forward to the BT full year results on 29 October when hopefully we may have an update regarding the pension deficit, or are you thinking that BT won't reveal the amount until next year when the pension review will be completed? Maybe a guide of between X & Y, they must have a very good expectation by now.

ITV are a well run company who's share price is like most other FTSE100 companies, suffering in the middle of a pandemic. Get over yourself, accept your ITV losses and move on to the Shell discussion board, I'm sure that your comments will be more appreciated than it is here.

3cardbrag, while I sympathize with what you say, I think it's too late to go back and start again. Plus, would the NHS be able to cope? I very much doubt it, putting their lives on the line again. I also feel that the young are largely are to blame for the upturn in infections, with their endless parties and heavy drinking and louting about after pubs close. Not all youngsters are to blame, for these people I feel sorry for. There was a young lad at university who was having to isolate because the whole building was in lockdown, he was interviewed on TV news, he pointed out that it was down to the other students partying, he pointed out that he was there to study and not party, yet he was having to lockdown because of the students flouting lockdown rules. Now is not the time to throw the towel in, we may only be a couple of months away from having a vaccine for this dreadful virus. I only make essential journeys. The sensible will survive, the foolish won't.

The date that McCall was announced to be the next ITV CEO was 16th July 2017. The ITV share price on 17 July 2017 was 177.25p. So you fail miserably with your claim that the ITV share price has dropped by 2/3rds of its worth. Don't bother trying to move the goalposts again Tom.

If only Tom would do his homework before opening his big mouth he would know that he's talking rubbish again, why am I not surprised?. When Carolyn McCall joined ITV as CEO on 8th January 2018 the ITV share price was 171.05p and NOT 229.08p that the share price would have had to be to have lost 2/3rds as Tom wrongly stated. Yes slightly disappointing finish to another good week. Over the past 2 weeks the ITV share price has increased by 13.56p, this I think is only the start to the recovery. I hope that no one listened to recent bear who has appeared on this thread predicting his doom and gloom, with his 50p target price, recommending that we all should listen and follow this coward, who bailed out at 80p.

Reasons to continue holding. Potential Brexit trade deal. Potential vaccine for this dreadful virus by year end. Both of these reasons will result in a market rally, the latter may well result in a world stock market rally, I would not like to be short the market when this news breaks.

Longer-term ITV have the football with next years Euro's and then the World Cup in November 2022 to look forward to, both will give a boost to advertising that will result in a share price recovery to pre covid levels. All in my opinion. Happy to hold on for the ride back to 180p.

Fleccy & Aus, after reading your conversations this reminds me of 2 blokes I used to work with, they were the best of friends, but would argue like cat and dog. I once pointed this it to them that if one of them said white the other would say black. Funny how they both agreed on that one.
