Zico, BT are currently having to spend cash on FTTP & that won't be completed until 2030, not forgetting 5G. However, BT have said that they expect cost savings of £1B per year by 2023 and £2B per year 2025. BT have also stated that dividends will restart in Feb 2022 at 7.7p and expected to increase going forward.

If you're willing to park your cash for 3 to 5 years you should more than double your money. My target price is 300p within this time frame. Also, not forgetting the valuation of Openreach is valued between £15B & £25B. BT's current valuation stands at a ridiculous £10.26B. Just my opinion of cause, I could be wrong, so please do your own research. GL

Hi Millie, it was reported in The Guardian article I posted earlier regarding Trump.....

"In recent days, Trump has been saying that the pandemic will come to an end without a vaccine, which rather suggests he is not expecting to be able to make an announcement that he has one before 3 November."

If true, it would seem that Trump is backing away from his idea of having a vaccine ready for Nov 3rd.
I'm also intending to top up my BT holding if we see 100p again.

I'm sure a vaccine for this dreadful virus will sort out this mess but may have to wait until spring 2021.

I agree, BT will become a cash cow once FTTP is done, throwing off very good dividends within 3 -5 years.

Velo........... "I have high regard for him over the years, and usually try and read his two columns every week. But I laughed because BT is his Achilles heel - Poor John he's yet to get BT right. Thanks Velo for your opinion. Although the chartist John Burford hasn't been right with BT previously he does have a good track record, at least he's not a novice. It will be interesting to see if he's proven right this time. Fingers crossed.

Thanks for posting the article NewSid, I for one would welcome Velo's opinion on this article regarding the future of the BT long-term chart.

ThJones, You have risked over £24,000 on a company you think is worthless? And were pleading others to avoid, only to realise your mistake and purchase BT shares. Lol

We can stand alone and make our own laws.
Take control of our own borders. Not an easy thing to do with illegal immigrants flooding in to the UK daily.
Take control of our own fishing waters.
UK money saved from not paying the EU, can be spent in the UK like our NHS, than subsidising Europe.

Absolutely spot on Fleccy. I don't mind admitting that I voted for remain, my main reason for this is I could see what all the uncertainty would bring to the markets. But for the good of the country long-term leave is the best thing to happen. if I had to vote again I would vote leave. This mess may take years to recover from but we will get there. The EU are in a bigger mess than us, leave the sinking ship which is the EU. Let's be in charge of our own destiny.

That's just it though, they don't know that it's safe yet, as it hasn't passed phase 3 yet. The World Health Organisation (WHO) won't pass the vaccination unless it passes phase 3, no corner's will be cut by WHO.
