Fleccy.......... "Brexit was definitely an English nationalism event, generally from working class voters in the more deprived areas of the country. English working class people feel pretty downtrodden, they see the SNP constantly whining about this and that, but watch Scottish University students get free education and the Scottish people getting free prescriptions. Brexit is constantly portrayed as some some sort of desire to move back to colonial days, but nothing could be further from the truth. Brexit is just kicking back against the status quo, the only thing that's surprising is it's taken as long as it did. Cameron opened the doors and the English walked through it, the Scottish decided to close their door."
Absolutely spot on Fleccy. I don't mind admitting that I voted for remain, my main reason for this is I could see what all the uncertainty would bring to the markets. But for the good of the country long-term leave is the best thing to happen. if I had to vote again I would vote leave. This mess may take years to recover from but we will get there. The EU are in a bigger mess than us, leave the sinking ship which is the EU. Let's be in charge of our own destiny.
