Brent -$918 May 2019 08:38
Morning all.
I keep seen a few mentions of the fact that the oil we are selling is priced at Brent -$9.
Does that mean that either
a. We are selling Brent crude and the $-9 represents notional overheads of one kind or another
b. We are selling a grade of oil that trades at a $9 discount to Brent
If b. I'm presuming our oil isn't included in the 200 or so grades for which there are published prices on the market otherwise we would be seeing it referred to by name, Urals, EPSO etc.
