Morning all. Fairly sunny this morning.
O - not on anyone’s payroll :) I’m still in the red on that Begby trade.
My house builder and miner stocks purchased yesterday have dropped another couple of points again from yesterday. The only ray of sunshine is CARD - up a fair bit today and overall - I’m up 10% on my original investment. I’m holding that for another month or two pending their long term agreement agreement with banking covenants.

O & C - the reason BEG dropped so much was because I bought another £2k worth @ 122.76 at 15:22 this afternoon! :)

Thanks for the re-posts guys. If Supply@me are operating in a similar way to Greensill capital it may explain the market being wary of late.

C - you are not alone. 11 of my 12 ISA shares are red today. The exception being RFX. Not only that my new purchases of mining and house building shares were made at the wrong time this morning and are down 2%.

V & M - I looked at Supply@me, but likewise don’t fully understand the risk of holding securitised goods should the company go belly up. Presumably, it’s at market rate, rather than what it’s worth to the borrowing company.

Good to see ARB hold up despite the 2% drop in BTC. Presumably on FOMO on the potential May NASDAQ listing. I’m holding, but I’m not entirely convinced the Yanks will love it that much. If it reaches 250p - OK / 300p - happy / 400p - delighted.

Afternoon all. Fortunately it’s been a good day for me. I forgot to say with regard to my LLOY, I only sold my ISA holding.
C - I’m optimistic about the economy keeping the lid on bad debts. It’s only a hope though.
Unusually busy day - I’ve also sold all my JDW. While I was optimistic from the weekend, I’ve sensed from the papers that the government might not allow pubs to be totally free in June regarding indoor service. Plus the weather forecast isn’t brilliant for the week ahead! :)
Was thinking of buying Pfizer based on their anti-Covid pill they are testing. Their price hasn’t increased, so I’m assuming it’s built into the SP.
I’ve made small top ups on dips to EUA and ARB.
T - not sure if I would classify these as bargains, or casino chips all sitting on red and the ball is in play.

Kev/Kaz/B - welcome. I only joined recently. Real friendly bunch here. I’ve found it great for advice, and nobody criticises you for buying or selling a particular share.

Morning all. Cool and overcast here and has been drizzling. My post yesterday disappeared. It was about my accidental error of selling KGF £5k rather than BOO (both of which dropped) Ended up buying £10k of LLYDS. Sold al my LLYDS for a quick 5% profit. Need to decide where to invest next. Maybe back into LLYDS if it drops.

Good day stock wise yesterday. Accidentally sold my Kingfisher shares this morning. Oops, but still made 15%. Sold my intended BOO as was getting fed up with the price not moving. Only made about £10 after costs. Bought back into ARB late yesterday and increased my holding of LLYDS. ARB up and LLYDS down this morning. Ah well. Good luck all today

I know some of us were thinking of investing in the Darktrace float. There’s been a lot of very bad press these past few days about the insidious influence of Mike Lynch on the company and consequently down side risks. He is obviously very astute, but a nasty piece of work. It’s rather put me off. Any thoughts?

V. Thanks. GGP is a medium to long hold for me. I’m currently up 14%, but any further significant rise sounds good.

Stock wise - much much better start to the week than last.
Visited Weston Super Mare on Saturday for a walk and bite to eat. Couldn’t help but observe (but not partake in ) some of my investments - Wetherspoons - good, with people queuing to get in; CARD - mmh, few people.
I dipped in and out (@166p) on ARB on Friday for another small loss - £50, but got distracted and forgot to buy back in before the bell. Price has gone up 8% in meantime! . Still holding a small amount of RIOT, which might compensate me buying into ARB at a higher price. Will see what happens this afternoon.

Evening all. Quite a good day overall, but my dipping in out and in on ARB proved stupid - losing £200. Too clever by half. I’m still in.
Today, I’ve bought into MPE for a few months depending on how the price of palm oil goes, or whether their major shareholder (23%) makes a full bid.

Glad that it sounds as though we’ve all had a better day, even if it’s not spectacular.
Changing the subject slightly, I’m always interested in the highest risers and fallers each day (from the drop down menu of the share prices on this site).
Looking at the comments boards of the various fallers (virtually all I have never heard of) there are some truly awful companies and incompetent/corrupt boards of directors out there.

C - your chess league sounds ripe for the formation of a super league. No worries about losing matches as there would be no relegation and might lead to more adventurous/flamboyant individual play :)

Afternoon all. DIY done. Portfolio wise - things went bad to worse this afternoon. I thought what with all the good news and my assumption my portfolio being very much U.K. centric I’d be immune from the strength of Sterling.
I must remember the quote “ The market can remain irrational longer than you can remain solvent” :)
Resisted the temptation to buy even more LLYDS at the bell, but I did add some more AVCT after it came off the boil mid afternoon.

Shame about my portfolio - losing about £3k today as I have large holdings of L&G, LLYDS, ABF.
Took the opportunity to buy £5k more of LLYDS.
Nerves haven’t recovered to re-enter on ARB. Might see what happens when the US opens.

C - I’m in agreement about the need for restructuring and refinancing services post lockdown. You mention FRP (I will take a look), but I already added £3k to my PB allocation of Begby this morning.
